Thanks for the replies.

I agree that the 80 inventory is an improvement. Maybe someone else will have "easy ideas" to make it work. I dont think placing a bank terminal, so you can access the safety deposit box, close to all star ship terminals would be that difficult for developers to

add to the game.

Currently, when I want to sell an item, the ship chasis dealer lists the items he wants to buy. This list seems random and does not appear to be organized alpabetically, or by type of component. Therefore, I have to open my inventory, change view to list items in inventory by type. Then I have to, by using the arrows in the upper left hand corner of inventroy screen, choose the option to show the stats of the component when I click on the item in inventory. After that, I have try to match/find the item on the ship chasis dealer with the same in inventroy. I was suggesting it would be easier for the ship chasis dealer to show the stats of the item he is willing to buy.

Perhaps there is an easier way to do this that I dont know about and am open to suggestions.

The 80 inventory was a much needed addition to the ammount we could cary for some time. I personally would like to see backpacks get set up the way they appear to be intended. I mean, I was a tailor for a while, and you look at what some of these backpacks take. Some are strict resources, some you have to make cargo pockets for, in fact, some of these backpacks require up to 3 cargo pockets, I think the devs should implement something with this where there are benefits to certain backpacks, say a base 20 items, if it requires a cargo pocket, it will hold 40, and for the BH packs, I believe is what requires 3, they should hold an additional 80 items. Just my 2 cents on this aspect, maybe even have inventory breaks in the backpack to diferentiate what is in which pocket. I know, I know, wrong forum, this should be in tailor, but I believe it would benefit us as pilots to be able to have more organization of our inventory so we don't accidentally sell something we intended to keep.

I'd also like some kind of a better grouping option. Allow us to sort out our space loot by either type or level. I hate looking through my inventory and realizing i had 13 boosters instead of 11, only to find that the ones still in my inventory would have been better to use for an RE.

I have a system I use to help this problem:

Also, would like to be able to see stats of looted space junk when selling them to the ship chasis dealer. This feature is available when browsing your inventory. Why did they not incorporate that into the ship chasis dealer. Also, would help if list of items to sell could be organized by type of compoent, alphabetically, or by level of component, ect.

I would like to see the same, kind of silly they didn't think about that. My work around to this is open the "Sell List" window that the Shiprwright guy gives you so that it is on the right side of your screen open from top to bottom and probably 1/4 of the screen width. Then open your data pad, and click on your ship to view components. Open that window up from top to bottom of your screen all the way and pull it to the left of your screen and open the width to take up the remaining 3/4ths of your screen. Now work your way down the sell list one item at a time. If its a reactor look in the reactor list of ship comps, oe engine, or whatever it isand you can see how it compares to what you have now and know if you want to sell it. It's a LOT easier than digging thru your inventory.

I'd love to see a drag and drop option available to the chassis dealer, so you could just drag the armor you want to sell onto the dealer and a little confirmation dialog comes up, rather than having to go through the list. I had a prenerf DI,and a postnerf sucky one at the same level with the same name, in my inventory...i was too scared i was going to sell the wrong one that i went home and dropped the good one in my house, then went back and sold the junky one

The storage problem for your houses is the easiest one to solve...

1) find or have made some low rated CRAFTING STATIONS... qty as required

reason: each station has an input bin which holds 100 items

2) find or have made the correct crafting tool to go with the station type in 1)

3) open the 'bin option' with the crafting tool.. instant storage increase... items in bin DO NOT

count against house inventory limits...

My idea to make loot easier to manage, give us the ability to multi-select on the Chassis vendor selection screen. When I have 130 items to sell it takes upwards of 4-5 minutes to sell that, add in lag and I can be standing there for almost 10 minutes. We have multi-select on a similar screen (email) so I imagine that would not be too hard to implement.

I assume you haven't tried this recently. It has been labeled as a bug (or exploit, maybe) and fixed with Publish 13. Unlimited storage space was never meant to be in game.
