You know what's funny is that the ISD gives only 10000 prestige points. Less than a Tie Aggressor. Go figure.

Well, I tried it with the Tie-interceptor. Much harder (and more fun), but I succeeded with just 1 death. Funnily enough, it wasn't the corvette or the gunboats that got me. It was a pesky A-wing!

Go do it rebel... its a whole different experence.. B-strike is to powerfull... That said, I can still solo it as a reb or as a nutral.. The stardestroyer can also be soloed, WITH OUT missiles.

I solo the vet quite often without bomber strike (which I like to save for when I hit a mixed group of a vette with fighter escort, so I can hit the vette uninterrupted.
It all depends on sniping off it's guns before you try to go for the reactor.

Rebel vette is immensly easier then the imp vette. Bomber strike makes the rebel vette a piece of cake.

Either vette can be solo'd with relative ease, there is a risk involved in doing the imp vette.
Bstrike is not the deciding factor.
The inability to shoot down/behind for the rebel gunboats is.
In a Kihraxz, rebel vette: 7 minutes, escort and all. No tricks.
Imperial 'vette: 35-40 minutes, due to the time needed to take out the gunboats.

Wish you were on Lowca. I haven't seen one pilot yet who can take out the imp vette by himself. Me and two others tried last night and it jumped out before we got through the secondary shields. We all died about 3 or 4 times too.
It's also really hard to practice against gunboats etc considering after dying too much you need a new ship.

NON-corro post
I agree and disagree.
The corvette is not too easy if looked at from when JTL went live or not having Aces along. Not just masters, but pilots who have expierience on vette runs. Big difference there. So we don't want to exclude this group from being able to complete it.
The other end of it is ya its reallt kinda easy. I solo'd it for xp at 3333 Impeial Storm Squad, no bomber strike. But I had also doneclose to50 vette runs (i think, its in that range) by that time.
I would love to see a few more guns added to the bottom of it would make it more challanging, but not too hard that I sould not be possible for a decent group of T4 pilots.
Also want to see the spawn timer worked on, spent way too much time camping Kessel for them, and fix the GB's at exit not leaving system.

I fumed when I read this post.
I really, really think there's a huge difference between the rebel and imperial corvettes.
Having tried theimp versionseveral times, and each time failed, I can't imagine attacking it without at least four 4-4-4-4 pilots or master pilots. I just wish there were four pilots around.

Eilla, perhaps this will help. It's a post from my guild's forums.
Preparation: Use only expendable components you could care less about. You WILL die several times. You MUST have twin MKIII Proton Torpedo or MKI Space Bombss. Ammunition count doesn't matter. You need hard-hitting ones.
1. Approach the Vette from the front.
2. Target primary shield generator. (The shield generators are located on the "shoulders" of the Vette.) Shoot it with the munitions. DON'T FIRE BOTH MISSILES/TORPS AT ONCE. Wait at least 0.5 seconds between missile/torpedo shots. Try to escape by using /iffscramble. (It's more likely that you'll die.)
3. Approach the Vette from the front.
4. Target secondary shield generator. Shoot it with themunitions. Try to escape.
5. Go back to Kessel and hit the engines from below and to the rear of the Vette. (You've just trapped the Vette in Kessel.)
6. Respawn and go back to Kessel. (Notice that all the vette's escorts have left.)
7. Hit Gun #5. (It covers the bottom hemisphere.)
8. Nestle in the blind spot you just created. (That's right underneath the Vette.) Destroy the Reactor (Munitions can shoot through ship superstructures.)
9. Hit Guns #6 and #7 that cover the rear arc of the Vette.
10. Go to the rear of the Vette and hit Gun #4.
11. MOST DANGEROUS PART: Hit Guns 0-3, while trying to stay out of their overlapping fields of fire.
12. Take out the Bridge.

Note: You may want to take out Gun #5 first, if you've eliminated the fighter cover and you're confident of your ability to maneuver to avoid the fire from the other Vette guns and the gunboat crossfire.
