No offence, but last week was the first time I spoke to a CSR that knew what he was talking about. I don't see how its intended for players to have Tier 1 ships &certifications, but have those ships loaded with Tier 4 gear.
I'm not saying a Tier 4 pilot shouldn't be allowed to load his favorite ship which happens to be Tier 1 with good gear. I am saying a Tier 1 pilot shouldn't be allowed to pilot a ship which has Tier 4 gear in it.
But anyway, as I said before, the last time I checked, this worked.

What I mean is...
Master The Inquisition
Make an Interceptor with all Max level parts
Resign Pilot and Start Storm Squad
Once you are Certed for Interceptor you can fly it reguardless of the Level Components in them.
That's what I was confirming.

Well it did work, I dropped and once Ijoined the other squadronthe shipworked...if its right or not, I don't know....but i'm using my ship..I'm figuring that to have loaded the ship up you had to already been a master now that your going to another squadron doesn't mean your a beginning pilot again..just means your transfering.....not like someone who never qualified Master and is getting high end gear that never earned it in the first place.....though since I tested it out with a Headhunter as not to lose any of my stuff in case it didn't work...it really only helped me out on the first tier....though someone could take a X-wing or Longprobe and to me that would make it just alittle to easy...lol..well not like the first tier is hard or nothing..

You wil be able to use it, i dropped storm squadron ace to inquisitor one (needed to land at retreat couse is the nearest port to my house) and i equipped a tie fighter and a tie/In with the best equippemt that can fit on them (lvl 6 and 7 on the tie/In) then dropped pilot , got the tie fighter cert using the starter ship and swithced to the uber fighter .

Yes. I did this with both rebel and Freelance craft. I mastered all the non-imp pilot profs in a few days using this method. You get triple xp after the 4th pilot prof, so it goes really fast then.

On the same train of though, it should be highly likely possible that if you fill your dunelizard up with level three RE'd equipment from before it should work fine after. That's what i have done, just saved full ships worths of re'd componants for all the levels. Then when you climb back through the ranks and you reach, say, tier four, you pull out the pack titled tier four parts and through those in your ship.
