As a neutral the vette is easy to solo, there are in fact several ways to do it, I will detail the safe way, the other way is faster but has a higher degree of risk for a non master.

Approach the vette from the underside with weapon 5 targeted, as soon as it is in range blast that weapon as fast as you can.

Turn and run, this will drag ALL the escorts except the gunships away from the vette, at which point you can kill them (use IFF if you need too)

Now with all the Escorts dead the vette is not to hard a target.

You have 2 options now.

1. Take out the gunships, to do this attack them from there underside, note disabling them does nothing they keep moving, so just go for the kill. (now carry on from option 2)

2. Ignore the gunships and do the following

Approach the vette head on but below the horizon, so it's turrets can not target you, target and blast both shields, you have to be fast on this or those gunships will open up on you, once down turn and get out of dodge, if you need to take several runs at this do so.

Once both shields are down the engines are next, approach from the rear again below the horizon use your booster when you hit 400m, and start to blast at the engines, by 200m out you need to start to turn down to stay under the vette as you pass it.

Once those engines are down if you chose not to destory the gunships you will need to wait for them to float off (but please make sure you kill them after as they will block future vette spawns untill killed)

Now simply from the uderside of the vette target each weapon and destory it, you will need to use angles to do so but you can get every weapon from the underside.

Now simply blast the reactor and then bridge

I have killed over 50 vettes using various methods and this is by far the safest way.

So my question is how do u train the box? I returned to the last mission NPC on Dantoine, but he just wants to keep giving me the final mission. If u meet the requirements for the box then why do u need to do the missions? Why have that option if it can't be used.

Then you didn't choose wisely! This is a MMORPG and not a single player shooter. Get a group and go do it! Period!

Pretty much, yes...

Personally I take out the escort first, then gun 5, the gunboats, finally gun 4, then the rest.

And as far as "this vette in particular" -- I've eyeballed the Imperial vette and it is identical to the Rebel one in every respect excepting the escort.

Also good to remember that your GUNS have longer range than your missiles, and will hit at 524m., but the NPC gunboats won't return fire until 500m.

AHAHAHAHAAHAAAAA, that is the funniest thing I've read in days... especially good with the "chose poorly" remark.

It sucks that DOTL actually grinded 7.5 million xp. Damn man, I'd give you a beer on me if I could pass it through the screen.

The Imp vette can be solo'd...In fact, if your patient and use bomber strike as soon as you see the vette....by the time you get done with the escorts and 2 gunships most of the vette weapons are gone. In fact if you bring a master and use bstrike3 pretty much all the weapons are gone by the time you take out the escorts. Then it is a cake walk....

You just need to make sure to take out the escort fighters first. Then the 2 reb gunships should be taken out because they really are easy to destroy. Once they are all gone it is easy...

hey big-annoying-letter-twirp, re-read -- both vettes are identical.

Maybe you need a magnifying glass more than big fonts...

I don't even bother with the guns on top. The only gun I take out is gun #5 on the bottom, and sometimes the two on the sides. As for the reactor, just go up above the vette and make a high speed run at it. If you are using the Level 8 Reward Shield, you can get over 4500 front shields by shiftingforward for the run. That's more than enough to survive a pass on the vette's guns.

The Corvettes are Identical, the escorts are not.

Attacking the Imperial Corvette(Star Ravager) as a Rebel can be tricky. The Star Ravager's escort includes TIE Aggressors, the only turreted fighters in the game that actually use thier turrets independantly of thier forward weapons. That's pretty much themain difference, but can be a big one if you're unprepared. The other difference is the gunboats. Thier onlyaft-firing turretis Weapon 2.

Optional choice for both Corvettes:

And instead of taking out the turrets from beneath(Weapon 5 first, as Bastilaa mentioned), you can hang pretty close behind the Corvette's engines and peek around, getting shots of the turrets. As long as you stay on its horizion and behind it, you won't take a hit, just be wary of its epileptic turns. The problem with running atthe forward bowon its horizon is that you have to veer off, eventually, bringing you out of the horizon.
