After the SD dies, you can either kill the fighters or just run far enough away (1.2kish distance) for them to lose interest in you. I've noticed that when the tie interceptor/fighter group tangles with me after the SD dies, that they start to blip out of existence one by one. This may imply that they really are escorts for the SD, but they're not always there when you attack, so whatever you want to call them is fine with me.

The fighters blip out of existance because deep space has been reset. Every time anyone kills the star destryoer the whole of deep space is reset. Which means all spawns anywhere (reb or imp) will dissapear. That includes corvettes.

Ever turned up to deep space and nothing is there? Someone just killed the star destroyer.

Im neutral privateer. If im in deep space as a reb and I see someone taking on the SD I will leavedeep spaceand come back as imp to kill them. ( I normally ask them to stop first )

When deep space is reset by killing the star destroyer it can take up to two hours to be fully populated again.

No-one ever comes to deep space if its empty and I like to pvp...

So beware of killing the SD on Chimaera...

I'm kind of saddened by this. An Imperial 1 Star Destroyer should be a lot harder. The Imperial Mark 1 Star Destroyer is supposed to have 48 Tie/in Fighters and 24 Tie Bombers, not to mention 60 turbolasers, 60 ion cannons, and 40 point defense guns designed specifcally for defense against fighters. These things should require a LOT more to kill them.

You never know where the Defel Spy will be, until you flip the light switch.

It does have around 100 guns on it...seriously. I was just up there and had to cycle through all of that to get to the shields

Didnt take it down...but I got the shields down solo before something got me from behind. But it was neat to try it.

this is partially incorrect. if someone is camping the SD then he is aware of anyone that loads into the zone. deep space is a PVP zone, not a grind spot. i consistantly destroy the freedom station because i know that when i do, anyone who wants pvp will come looking. i stay 3km from it because i know that if anyone loads in the zone, i'll be the first thing they see. because of this, i get 5x the pvp that anyone else does. EVERYONE should be spending their time in deep space assaulting the respective bases, then milking the spawns as they come off said base while waiting for opponents to load in the zone. it's the reason spawns work the way they do.

it's much more frustrating to load in the zone, see players on /who and run around forever unable to find them. if i load into DS and nothing is there, i know i only have 1 or 2 spots to check and i know that if the players have already left, the spawns are going to be comming from the opposing faction base so i only have 1 place to look to find stuff to grind on. and nobody is efficient enough to destroy all the spawns off the base without letting some slip through the dragnet. nobody.

all a fully populated DS does is create lag.

10K prestige for an ISD? That's weird since a Tier 5 gunboat gives 33K. Did you miss a zero?

How do you get into Deep Space as rebel? Did you have to go neutral in the ground for that?
