I like some of the interfaces I got.
Like the looted post-nerf 13.5 speed that I have in my Nova.
A couple engineered 14.7 level 3s with 500 mass and ~490 energy drain.
An unengineered pre-nerf 14.5 in my X-Wing.
A couple more around the 16 speed range.

MWARF toss it for a lvl 10 droid interface with 10 speed ^^
Since you don't care for components weight in nova, just load it
And since lvl 10 components will have much more armor/hitpoints, he will take more shots before beeing disabled

Last night I looted a DI, level 8 with 500 mass and 494 power drain, but had a speed of 33.8 (I think). I know that speed sucks, but with those low mass and power requirements, RE it with some low speed high mass level 8's, and you'd have a great DI for a small fighter.
REing doesn't work like that. You have to RE it with an equal number and RE level worth of parts. So if its RE level 1, you can only RE it with itself, which gives it a 1% boost. If it's L8, you have to have 7 other L8's to RE it with. You can't take a low mass L1 and RE it with a high speed L10.

How did it decay to nothing? Mine got to 10 AP/HP and stopped decaying... still works fine
ya, last time i checked people dont target your d.i. in combat
but when it gets to 10ap/hp the decay stops? is this the same for engines and other parts? i havent come accross anything that could kill me repeatedly yet so ive never decayed anything that much before, but if a part's ap never decays to a value less than the damage an overload3 program does to it, you could use it forever, just make sure no hits get passed your armor.
i have a 14.0 lvl1 d.i. in my awing, and a 14.5 in my tie-adv. really makes cap to shield shunt shine.
Funny... its the first thing that seems to go in the movies..lol

This is a level 10 interface. Besides, I said it was post-nerf, meaning its that low because its high level. Its also extremely massive, which is why its in my Nova Courier in the first place.

I have 10-15 level ten DI's in the 10.0 to 11.0 range...even one or two at 9.9. I used to have a 9.2 (I think) but lost that and 300 other parts in a vendor "accident".
A 14.7 speed level 1 DI is worth more than any level 10 gun, and at least as much as a 50 recharge rate cap. Keep it!

Shrendycnever clearly stated whether it was a Lv8 cert or a Lv8 RE level. since the item stats are based on the RE level and DIs are notorious for having mismatched levels this does indeed sound like a RE1/Cert8 DI. If it is somehow an 8/8 DI, then he is a lucky lucky dog. But then I can say that since I'm the guy who looted a 39k L7 reactor last Friday ![]()

I'm very glad I saw this post.
I've been away from the game for about 6 months, so I missed out on the early JTL loot days. However, I just found a vendor that has about a dozen lev 1 droid interfaces with speeds 14.6-15.6 all for sale for about 1k each.

Definately keep. I stocked up on these before the patch. Yeah you can get level 10s with faster speeds but you will pay for it in weight. Even on my Krayt I can find something better to do with that extra mass the computer saves, and my flight commands work plenty fast enough for me. If nothing else, it is a valuable asset to have should you work your way up through another pilot tree again.
