Thread: Packing up my JSF...because you said so...lol
Thank you for all of the intelligent and friendly replies. Though, perhaps the title of my thread is a bit misleading of my personality. True it is my $15 a month and I most certainly will fly whatever I feel like flying lol. But with limited PvP experience I really didn't want to get involved only to have tells of how I only won because I was in a JSF etc etc. Also a big concern are PvP events where it seems the rules are usually, "NO ROTW ships"....that most certainly does tell me what I can/cannot fly if I want to be involved in these events and/or build a good reputation with other pilots. I am most definately eager to get more involved in the PvP seen, however I would also like to build lasting game relationships with those I fight with/against. Especially on my server of Bloodfind, I swear I rarely see anybody in space
. A rivalry is great, a friendly rivalry is a lot more fun ![]()
BTW I dusted off my rebel pilot and his A-wing again last night and went on another Kessel run, some of you were absolutely right, my skills did not dull I just had to relearn flying that ship.
I've never understood ship loyalty (except those bordering on the unnatural, mentioning no names
I but the same amount of effort in perfecting my JSF loadout (and the one i'm working on is going to be sweet as) as i do with all my other ships.

Heh...what's that quote in the Essential Guide to Vehicle? "TIE fighter pilots are suicidal, and TIE Defender pilots are bloodthirsty. But it's TIE Interceptors that I fear, because those pilots are suicidal and bloodthirsty." --Kyle Katarn

Fly what you like. I know that I could just as well if not better in an advanced but I fly an interceptor because I like the way it looks and the way it make me feel while flying it. I feel like those interceptor pilots in the movies must have felt heading for a squadron of x-wings. Kind of like an all or nothing attitude mixed with sheer blood lust and thrill of battle. Also, if you really like the chassis, you are more likely to stick with it when you get a bad week and die alot. Just pick the ship you like the best and fits your style, then out fit it to the best of your abilities and you will do well in PvP.
I love that quote... I think that is going in my sig.
id like to see the JSF nerfed to 60k mass.yes 60k lol , cause ithas crazy acceleration/deceleration/pitch /yaw modifiers..would definitely fly it then. untill then ... my pretty pretty A wing.![]()
As everyone else here have basically said, its your money... Do whatever you want
That said, flying a JSF do make you kinda rely on the small hitbox and manouvrebility...
Someone else here mentioned that the Adv XWing was comparable with the relics (or even heavies) in terms of overpoweredness... Simply not true... I have zero problems killing a Adv XWing, even one flown by some pretty damn good pilots in a TIE Advanced... Id wager that I would win perhaps 80-90% of all fights if they were clean, nonmissile 1v1s
See the problem is (altleast on starsider) that the rebels are intelligent... they mainly fly in teams, because they know that practically all the popular PvP TIEs outclass their ships (barring AW).... 1 XWing... No problem... 2 or more? Im usually toast
