i really like the storm squadron missions and i hope they don't change them.
i think it's cool that they're long, and although they are difficult (im 3332 right now), i've had a lot of fun running them with friends.

I see what you're saying. I do feel a small sense of accomplishment but that's really not why I play a computer game. I get more of a sense of accomplishment from real life stuff like work, family, etc.
Like I said in the original post. Picking a squadron should not be Russian roulette. If our missions are going to be that much longer then there should be some sort of reward or incentive attached.

Im kinda jealous I wish the rebellion had missions that long...
what's the point in rushing to master anyway...

Yes, they are long missions. I did Tier 3 Mission 1 three times by myself yesterday, before I got help from a couple other guys. I didn't know how long it was until we got past the first couple waves.
The only positive that I have to say is that I had a fun time doing this long mission with a couple buddies. I guess you can think of it as more content for the game. If you don't like Storm Sqdrn, then try something else. I know I'm gonna try all 3 IMP Sqdrn's when I can.
One negative from this mission, yes I got my free box when I trained up, but now I can train up in another box until I complete the next mission. Am I going to still get xp? I noticed that I maxed out at 200k and couldn't get more xp at the end of Mission 1.

I totally agree you.
I just did my last tier3 mission last night. Before this I finished my Rebel master pilot,
Freelance 4333 with my alter.
Have to say this StormSquad tier3 missions are insane long. And we didnt get any good reward
from this mission, we all get same thing.
Devs should change the length of the tier3 missions for StormSquad or give us better reward.
If you wanna try TIEs, dont take the stormsquad, this is only thing i can suggest now.

Yeah, I wish I knew I about this before hand... I hope other pilots considering being Imps are taking note. Hopefully the devs will address this sometime soon.

I started the Inquistor mission on Beta. I went to SS once it went live. I also noticed the length of the missions have drastically increased. I an currently on Tier 3 mission 3. The "4" waves was more like 10. And of course i thought it was done, but no. I have to wait in the ambucsh area for 10 minutes while waves upon waves if fighters come in. It took me 7 time to do mission 2. And there were many jumps back to the space station to get my repairs. I have gone solo so far and will try the 3rd mission yet again, but the lenghts are way too long i agree fully. But i will press on.

O.K. I finished Mission 3 last night with a friend who is Imp Ace. It took us about 90 minutes. On one leg we counted 14 waves. This is just insane... I'm going to do mission 4 tonight...

I need to do some escorts of guys in Storm on my server. I am In Black Epsilon and I know our Teir 3 Mission 2 is LONG... even doing it with 4 or 5 pilots it is a hour long mission at least. The FIrst one is long to. The 3rd and 4th not really long but those gunboats and courier guns HURT man

All i can say is "whew" i thought i was bugged or something, but it's nice to know that i'm not.
Instead i'm getting the shaft because i picked the "wrong" squadron.....and all just because it had a cool name
Oh well, time for me to go do another marathon and watch even more of my armor get degraded down to nothing

Storm Squad - 3/2/2/2, CorSec 4/3/3/3 and Havoc 2/2/2/2 so far and SS missions are by far the longest and most difficult of any I have done.
I don't mind the length as much when I am soloing them, but I am pretty sure I am going to need a wingman or two to complete the next mission I've failed a couple of times already (and once with a same tier wingman)and it doesn't make finding volunteers easy when they know they have to sign up for an hour or more.

3/3/3/2 here. The last one is a bugger. I am helping my other PA members at the moment to level up in thier squadrons... so they can come play tag with a nova with me. Long? yes. Difficult? Yes. CHange them? No. I am in for the long run now. I have contemplated changing squadrons a few time. This is like hell week now for me. I will not give up. I will wear the STrom Squadron wings in the end. I will join the few, the happy few; the Storm Squadron
