WHAT YOU'RE ABOUT TO READ IS ALL FACT, THIS IS NOT AN OPINION. BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU ARE ABOUT TO READ.
I find this all so funny!
Now, I love being a pilot and I love space and all that, I even love the pompous attitude of Pilots, but jeeze, some of you people sound like you don't want Manna (or anyone else)in your sandbox.
Is that what space has become? Our sandbox?
If they gave Jedi skills in space SO WHAT? Would it make me hate space? NO. Would it make me scared? NO.It sounds like we are all in our clubhouse and we put "NOSMELLY JEDI!"
on the door.
SOME of you need to grow up.The fact is that there are jedi in space, it's cannon. They use POWERS, like reaction speed, focus, and force sight.
Jedi should be given certain powers in space, let them use their powers, they'll still die.AND, as this is a game, it could add a new dimension and challenge that no otherspace sim has provided, the ability to fight AGAINST jedi in space.
Besides, I think thatgreat Pilot skillsis way harder to perfect than Jedi skills.
That wouldjust be cool. Then we would all see what the master profession is.

You want to deal in fact? Here is FACT.
THE JEDI ARE DEAD.
I firmly support canon being applied. Jedi can have their force powers in space when the number of Jedi per server reflects the number of Jedi in the movies.

SonofKashyyk you missed something.
Jedi "powers" are from a ground based profession that uses an RPG character template / skill mods system depedant on your avatar. Space is twitch, and skill is depedant on you as a player, not your avatars. The two dont mesh together very well.
Furthermore, pilot skills dont cost anything. Why should jedi profit from something that cost them nothing to begin with? Fact remains, in space, We're all equals, and no ones gonna get special treatment.
Jedi non grata.

No thanks. We're not going to play "pick and choose the bits of canon we like". There's already too much of that. Jedi deserve nothing up here. We're all equals. If they want to use canon to argue that they deserve an advantage, than canon argues that they had best be prepared to fight each other, Highlander style, until only two are left. One Dark Jedi (taking Vader's role as a Dark Jedi pilot) and one Light Jedi (taking Luke's spot). That's it.

Without getting longwinded, there are a few ways I could think of to get it to workif you don't take the Pilots, "No one but us" attitude. FIXED!

You're confusing us with the Jedi.
The discussion here stems from the Pilot's desires to have 'Everyone alongside of us'.

That would be freakin' AWESOME! I would get a jedi just for that.

Wouldn't that be the day? Bria's motto seems to be "There can be only one... per square inch".

Amazing, a pilot that has half a brain and thestones to see exactly what i am talking about. Aren't we here to play a game and have fun in different environments? Jedi powers are universal, no matter what you allnarrowminded shipjockeys say.Whatis so hard to comprehend about a Jediusing theirpowers that don't require weapons, don't requireany specialenvironment, don't require a special setting, hell, don't even require LAND!!! I meanyou tell me why a jedi can'tuse those said powers in space? And you jackasses that keep saying that Bounty Hunters, Rangers, any melee prof, pretty much any prof that requires weapons, environments, special settings or LAND shouldbe able to use their skills are out of your minds.Exactly howwould that work? NO please don't tell me, I can't take anymore of your intelligence.
We are here to play a game and have some fun and I will do that REGARDLESS of what the devs do.Alas,I can say that because my self-worth isn'tbased off of being a fly-boy of a collection of polygons and pixels.
So on to me, due to my work schedule I haven't made Master Pilot yet, but that is a no brainer. I mean you dont see"Master Pilots" for sale on Ebay because no one would pay more than the cost of the SWG software to play one cause they are so easy to grind compared to Jedi. Everytime you all compare your "pilot" importance to the importance of Jedi in the world of Star Wars you show how truely out of touch you have become.
Here is an equation:
Jedi are to Star Wars as Pilots are to Top Gun
Sorry, it's science.

No, the reason you don't see people selling ace pilots on eBay is because any idiot can push buttons and be a Jedi. It requires real skill with the game to be a pilot. People who have that skill will do it for themselves. And people without that skill will be just as lost as they are with their two boxes of Tier 1.

I wish these jedi wannabe's would cut the crap and just admit the only reason they keep pushing for pilot ANYTHING related to jedi is because it would make the jedi grind infinatley eaiser. It would practicaly be a free ticket to the glowy. No more no less. Espeically when you consider the master pilot bonus on things like teir 5 mobs, gunboats and corvettes.

Rapax, wrong thread. In this one, the ones who are already Jedi are whining because they can't cut it in space with the rest of us.
Gotta keep these things strait, you know?
