Hi all, I am new to the pilot profession and am wanting to build my skills, but I find it frustrating that I can't use my jedi skills in space. I have come to depend on these skills on the ground and have worked very hard to EARN them, so the likely transition of using those said skills in space seems only fair. Stuff like force heal, AI would be a great advantage and something that would be a well deserved ability for the work I have already put into my skills.

Well, if you want jedi abilities in space, I want to drop a space bomb on you while I'm on the ground. Only fair right? Sounds stupid doesn't it?

Being a sith in space, and a force user I do not want to see Force being used in space, unless they do it on space stations or what not liek the avatar, what makes you a good pilot in space. Should and always be your pilot skills nothing else.

Ok, ok , ok. I have to reconsider. Jedi did 'work' hard to get their skills. They should be given a few extra powers in space. Maybe a better chance of missiles hitting or an increase in responsivenss to their ships.

But of course I worked hard to grind up pilot and get my Decimator and even harder looting great equipment for it. So as long as I can fly my Decimator into the atmosphere and turn Faction Bases and Jedi Grind groups into molten slag, please do give the jedi their powers.

That's only fair, is it not?

In simple terms-

1. Wedge Antilles commands Rogue Squadron, not Luke Skywalker. Luke used to, but gave it up to study more as a jedi.

2. Baron Soontir Fel commands the 181st Imperial Fighter Group not Lord Vader. Once again, Vader leads a lot more than just fighters.

Stick that in your canon.

I am completely against Jedi being given special 'powers' in space, but I thought facts needed to be said, LOL.

So, this is absolutely ridiculous. I post my opinion on something that makes complete sense to everyone except you overconfident pilots with the biggest sense ofentitlement since the Nazis and you guys spend the next 24+ hours trying to cut me down and make me feel foolish...like you people, that have as much impact on my wellbeing as a box full of handicapped children, are going to influence me to the point that I regret my decision to be contrary to you and your selfish, obsolete points on pilot.

Now, regardless if your selfish opinions include fact or not, the FACT is, is that there are advantages that Jedi have in space as pilots no less. If you don't like that fact then go play EvE or whatever the hell other game so you can show your Napolean Dynamite Pilot skills, along with yourbowstaffskills andyour nunchuck skills without us "Gods" ruining your fantasy. I am sorry there is an inferiority complex with you all, I really am, but I wish we could get past it.

Oh but to add to your inferiority complex, Jedi is THE Star Wars calling card, not pilot. First thing most non myopians think of is and will always be Jedi....sorry, it's science.

LMAO!!! Wait, I bought this game for the xwing. I bought this game to fly. I bought this game because I heard that you can play as a number of races. I bought this game because I heard it was a great game. I don't care about being a jedi. If I wanted to play a game to become a jedi, I would play KOTOR.

There are some people who want to play because they can be a jedi. However, absolutely no jedi powers in space. I am a jedi, and I have absolutely no desire to use powers in space. I doubt they would ever put powers in space any way, none of the jedi in the movies used their powers in a ship, so I doubt there would be much reason to do so here. We all thought the JSF/B22/RGI flames were bad, LOL, get all the Jedi and BH's from other forums invovled, it'd be a big mess. There is ALOT of BH/Jedi hate right now, adding powers in space would put it over the top.

Sorry mate, but this is the dumbest suggestion ever. I'm sure you are a nice guy and all, but...WOW. This reminds me of the thread where the jedi wanted to use 4 Necrosis arms to Quad wield sabers and dozens of jedi jumped on it saying how it was in the movies so it should be in game. Just, wow.

In smuggler-forums we've taken to calling it the jedi kooshball.

And I'm wistfully imagining what one spacebomb dropped in the middle of them would do....
