Yes you did say the arc was a freelancer reward.

No, I didn't. Which is why you didn't quote it. I specifically didn't buy RotW partly because the freelancer reward is cheese.

The JSF quest is orders of magnitude easier and is faction specific compared to the grievous quest and at the end of the greivous quest you get a ship which isnt as good as the JSF.

I've done them both and yes they are both hard for different reasons. I have them both, and yes, they are the same. Either way it's a non-issue. Each faction should have separate quests for the ARC, JSF, and Grievous.

I havenever asked for the new ships to be removed or nerfed.

Please see the entire page of quotes where you do in fact ask for both.

SW crafted components are in the process of being improved at the moment - perhaps you should try to keep up with ongoing developments in this field.

I have and they are not even close to REd/FREE components except on MP ships where mass doesn't matter. Again, please quit insulting my intelligence or making conclusions about what I know or don't know. I guess now you want me to start quoting the SW forum?

It has been stated by devs that they are moving crafted components to be as good as loot - what you dont seem to understand is the difference between loot components and REed components. REed components (if REed well) should be superior to loot/crafted components.

Again, please refrain from making conclusions about my intelligence. What I do or don't understand. I'm not sure who you know IRL that lets you get away with that but where I come from that kind of talk earns you more than a smart a$s response. It may make you feel superior or tough or smart or whatever your pathology craves but you're still you regardless of how much you attack me.

Space loot should not be fully functional components of any kind and therefore there is no argument of whether they should be superior or not. Space loot should be enhancements or components that SWs use to CRAFT items.

Here you mention balancing the new ships with the Awing, what is your fixation with the Awing?

I mention the "...other smaller ships (A-Wing, Interceptor, etc.) " What fixation do you refer to?

If as you suggest you start improving the stats of some of the "original" ships then you have to improve ALL the original ships and create a whole new balance system! whereas a MUCH easier solution is to balance the new ships which havent been properly tested or balanced before release.

I already said your solutions was easier. Agreed. It's just the wrong solution per my reasons above.

An example of this would be to balance the Awing you would need to increase its YPR, increase its mass, to above the JSFs as the jsf has more firepower and similar profile- this then has to be done with EVERY ship, and every ship then has to be rebbalanced with every other over and over again until the system works. This gives you the same result as balancing just the new ships - the ships are all balanced and the new ships arent uber anymore - it just takes 100 times the work to achieve!

No, EVERY ship isn't meant to balance with EVERY other ship. Tier 0 ships should balance with Tier 0 ships. Tier 4 needs to balanced with Teir 4. Otherwise let's just cert novice pilots for every ship since you want every ship to be the same.

I'm not concerned with how much work it takes. I'm the customer. I want it done correctly. Not just for the Pilot community but for the SW community and the SWG/JTL community. Fixing the game for everyone is a solution. Making a quick easy change to suit you is a blatant NERF.

and the ARC. (man did the privateers get screwed or what? I never even bought RotW for her)

QFE!

The JSF is not the same as the Greivous it has a smaller profile (otherwise known as an advantage)

Once again - THE ONE TIME I SAID REMOVE THE JSF WAS A SARCASTIC REPLY TO SOMEONE ELSES POST - the other few hundred times I have explained that i want them BALANCED, this word is in the dictionary, please look it up.

Again, SW CRAFTED components should NOT be as good as REed components, this is what the majority of shipwrights agree on.

I only make assumptions on your intelligence, or lack thereof on the evidence before me -

1. you dont understand sarcasm

2. you dont understand the word balance

3. you continuously troll and flame this thread despite having your posts removed

4. you keep saying things that the majority of people know are untrue.

5. you now are misrepresenting the entire SW profession here - despite them being our closest mates.

6. do i really need more?

You constantly refer to the Awing and previously referred to it as being an uber ship despite the fact there are several imp ships more than a match for it!

You say my solution is wrong because, (this is good) of things you have stated earlier that are in fact UNTRUE and/or UNWANTED by SW or pilots.

Yes EVERY ship is meant to be BALANCED with every other ship that balance is not dependent on tier but rather on the ships capabilities as the space game is twitch based not skill based.

This balance system is based on mass/manouverability/firepower, ie. TIE starter has bucketloads of manouverability but very little firepower or mass, whereas the Bwing has LOTS of mass, serious firepower put turns like a brick being dragged by a supertanker.

To follow your balance system would require months of work and testing (in other words a Space CU (noone will want that)), to balance the new ships in with the old requires very little work and is what most people want!

The balance is from choosing whether you need to take a bomber a superiority or an interceptor for different missions as each have their own respective weaknesses and benefits. Having 1 or 2 ships which are the best for EVERY situation means EVERYBODY flies the SAME ship!

Why didnt you say something about this ooola?

Cant you make up a lie to try and counter this valid truthful point i use?

And thats it - Im finished arguing with someone whos idea of balance is to make everything really powerful and equal to everything else and, uses lies and misquotes to influence others!

Not meant as a flame but i wasn't on about missiles i'm talking Laser cannons. Yes the Oppressor can have 3 missile but only 2 Lasers. I'd gladly give up one of the missiles for more Laser Power.

for expamle

Rebels have; X-wing = 3 guns and 2 missiles / B-wing = 4 Guns and 2 missiles
Freelance have; Rihxyrk = 3 Guns and 1 missile / Kimogila = 3 Guns and 1 missile. Krayt = 3 guns (4 if you count turret) and 2 missiles (think it 2)

While this post will certainly be drowned in the multitudes of temper tantrums from one certain person who shall remain nameless, I just have to make a small correction to your statement: The X-wing (both normal and the advanced) has one missile launcher spot, not two.

In the same way as how rebels get ships with three guns and bricks with four, while imps get a maximum of two, rebels get a maximum of two missile tubes while imps gets three. (Not counting the Nova, since POB ships are as useful as bottle shaped warts). So you could really ask why rebels don't have a ship with three missile slots.

The only ships I use crafted components (even with my alt being a very wealthy Master Shipwright) are on MP ships. I RE everything for me and my guildies. Yes, crafted components ARE better than 99% of the loot you get if mass is not a factor. However I do have the best resources to craft with AND the best REd items and there's no comparison. The very best crafted item is crap compared to the very best REd item.

Yup Vic, I forgot to mention that when i replied to him - back in the midst of all that in the previous 2 pages!

Would love to have 2 missile tubes on the Xs - would be a kind of squeeze to fit everything in - but where ther is a will there is a way!
