Thread: EPulse 3: Cheap Tactic or Tool of the Trade?
Basically when it comes to pvp, people should read my sig and follow suit. It is more fun, simple as that. Adaptation is fineand I fly an 'underpar' ship without ordnance or EP3 capabilites just fine tyvm on the servers I've played and adapting is somthing I have to do everyday, but there is no counter to EP3 as it stands.
But meh, as I said. I hardly encounter it these days.

I will agree with you, Leaph. PvP is more fun without clickingthe "back to looting" button. I just truly wish I enjoyed it more. Maybe when the elite components come out for pob's, I will outfit my Y-8 and ask if the sunday night group wants to play a "disable the warship" scenario. I can even switch sides being a Smuggler Alliance pilot .
Dunno. Have ta think about it and they have ta agree of course lol.

EP3, in its current form, fits perfectly in the underhanded, double-dealing, winner-take-all, no-holds-barred, blow-everything-up-you-own-after-I-steal-what-I-want, world of the Smuggler Alliance. And I am a proud carrier of the nonexistant card unofficially not declaring me such a member. (

I have the utmost respect for Tek. Thereare a select group of pilots on Bloodfin who are not only great pilots, but outstanding people (you all know where you are :smileyvery-happy. If Tek or any of the others were to EP3 me because they didn't they didn't think they could win or "just wanted to loot" in DS, I'd loose nearly all respect for that person. Anyonewho knows me is aware that all it takes is asking to be left alone and I'll do it.Don't come to DS andwreck our fun. In deep space everyone can be attacked. To take that away from us is selfish. You get to fly non-overt everywhere else, but when you come to my house I reserve the right to shoot you. Hell I feel like @ss if I missle someone in a 1v1, what part of it don't you understand?!! You'rebasically griefing us. I don't feel its necessary to ask if its ok to attack someone in Deep Space!
"Hey, do you mind if I attack you? You're not loot farming are you?" Pffft. I attack everyone I see in deep space, I usually msg them after and if they say they're there to farm loot I'll agree to let them be.
The bottom line is, Ishouldn'thave to ask if its ok to attack you in a PVP zone. Quit being a moron andstop with the"I win" button when someone gets near you in DS. Die and politely ask them if you can come back and be left to you're own devices. If you can't accept that waste of time, quit ^*&#^%ing wasting ours and go back kessel!
Jeez. The pilots on Bloodfin should understandthe passion behind this message. I never get this angry!

Ok. You missed my whole point. Keep your respect, anger, and whatever else. Keep your fun. It it's your house, consider it home invasion.
There isn't one person in the game that has my respect or disrespect. I fly. Not to your standards, but the game's. I use no exploits that are announced by devs/corresponents, not self-appointed DS rulers. I won't deny a part of space to myself because someone thinks I shouldn't be there. And if you truly knew ME, you would understand why.

We are talking hipotheticals here. For the most part i am easy going, relaxed, and treat others civily. But if you go around spaming an I win button like that, I would probably take it personnaly, and i would make it very much personal in the worst possible way.

For those of you who made cases for and against EP3 I thank you. This thread was started so I could get the low down on a new ability. So aside from the tired old "Niner" there, thank you guys.
Summing up, here is how I feel about EP3
As for spamming EP3, as far as I can tell, you can't. It saps your power and is on a timer just like every other pilot "call". So if you miss, hard as it may be, that's your ass and you won't get a second chance.
As for weak pilots usingEP3 in the place of skill....well that's just like one of those button pushers on a fighting game like Tekken or Street Fighter. Sure they may get a few hits off...hell, they may even win a few rounds, but at the end of the day skill is going to put that chump to rest. Same with people who use EP3, loadkilling, the RGI,missiles, or anything else people cry about. The truth is, a crappy pilot won't be able to hide behind thier little cheatsor crutches forever. If you're a good enough pilot, you'll be able to smoke them out and get the kill. I don't care if you've got an RGI loaded with 6 tubes of Mark19 Image Recs, and have a EP3 macro and you're waiting for me at the front door to DS....yeah you may get me a few times, but mark my words, if you don't have the skills to handle your bird, it will only be a few times.
I still haven't had a chance to useEP3 in PVP yet. Seems me, my cannon, and a few missiles from time to time do just fine. But I'll tell you all one thing, EP3 is there for me to use and if I feel that I need to use it then guess what....either shoot me down or get the hell out of my way because somebody is going back to the space station and it's not going to be me.
