IF ANY JSF PILOT CAN TELL ME WHAT THE HANDICAP THE JSF HAS TO BALANCE ITS HIGH MASS, MAX YPR, SMALL PROFILE, AND 3 WEAPON FIREPOWER i will shut my mouth and never post again except to tell everyone it is perfectly balanced, I will also give everything I own to that person including any donatable body parts! So go ahead tell me what the handicap for the JSF is?
I actually don't think that a JSF pilot should have to answer that. The developer who threw the JTL balance out the window should be the one to give us the answer.
And while he/she is at it, I'd like to know if they woke up one day and thought:
"You know... Today is a nice day, I think I'll just completely throw the JTL balance out the windows by souping up these new ships. After all, all those focus tests and weeks of testing we spent during JTL beta should mean nothing. I mean, it's not like we could have used those weeks of testingfor anything else, right? These new ships will put JTL back at the very beginning of JTL beta, where all the ships were alike. That r0x0rs!!!!!1111oneoneone1!1 Composite in space ftw!!!11"

Urgently needs to be nerfed. Why? Because it is insanely unbalanced.
It has more mass than an A-Wing, has a much smaller profile than an A-wing, turns faster than any other ship i know, and also accellerates faster than any other ship i know. Tonight in deep space I came across an enemy pilot in the new FOTM ship, and we went at it. The fight was over relatively quickly, the entire time I was turning as hard as my A-Wing could go, but to no use, he stayed just off of my screen but was able to turn so fast that he could shoot me and continue flying in circles semi-infront of me.
Rinse-Repeat 6 times, same story.
This is rediculous, and needs to be balanced as soon as possible.
And much like an A-Wing missiles are the death of the Jedi/ETA-2. One good IR Missile will take the thing out, as for 'nerfing' it I'd say rebalance the A-Wing and leave the ETA-2 alone. Freelance and Imp Pilots now kinda have a ship like the A-Wing, something both sides have been lacking for a good long time now. Not only that and not to insult you, it comes down to Pilot Skills in space not just your ship and it's parts. Besides that, you alwas have the Heavy Mass Z95 that is almost the same just a bit bigger. Or go pick up a Grevious that is the same for the most part, off a Jedi. I got mine for about a million credits, and it's just like the ETA-2 only a tad bigger.

Bit inyellow - WRONG - the JSF has nearly as much mass as an X-wing therefore 1 IR barely scratches it (that from 60 odd IRs launched at themby the way)

Bit in red - Wrong again - Imps have always had better dogfighters (more manouverability/same mass/more gunports) than the Awing. However the freelancers dont have the same capability (give them chirdaki and "clutches" and other uglies fgs), plus, the JSF is IMP-ONLY. Check out the ship stats - try the shipwright forum - they have in depth comparisons of ship stats there!
Actually your wrong. The ships ypr stats count for direction change, not turning rate. Engines controll your turning rate. I can use a level 6 RE'ed reward in my jedi fighter for pve and a level 8 RE'ed in my A-Wing, guess what, my a-wing turns tighter then my JF.
Actually your wrong - the same engine in an Awing will and a JSF will not cause the Awing to turn faster! A REed lvl 10 may beat your REed lvl 6 in this way - but that must be the crappiest lvl6 engine in existence for this to happen!

Chassis decay doesn't matter much, it will never completely decay. What will happen is that the ship will "die" quicker after the shields and armor is gone, but that's not much of a problem in PvP. We've already got 1-3 hit kills in PvP so it's not a big deal to have low chassis condition in PvP really.

Ok I don't pvp much myself. I have to say I love my JSF though all I have done with it is zoom around a little... it has like 3 pve kills to its name.
I can see how the ship is a pain in pvp as it does allow for the more green pilots to get a good advantage. If they were limited to 1 per character (I believe some of them quests are redoable) and give them decay in fights even in deep space. I know I am about to catch hell for that comment but if they were a one off ship and were able to decay then missiles would eventually bring these ships to ruin. They would be hoarded in datapads and rarely used or just used for pve.
