Hi

Im a master pilot in the rsf, what i want to do is go rebel on the ground. Will going rebel on the ground affect my piloting in any way? Example: RSF pilots are under the imperial boot, and we cant kill imp ships except in deepspace but can kill reb ships anywhere. So if i am RSf in space and go reb on the ground does that keep me from blowin up rebs in space?

Generally i dont even in deepspace i go reb but id like some input before i declare.

Secondly; if i go reb on the ground does that mean i can kill imp npc's in space as a rsf pilot?

My worries are that if im reb affiliated on the ground and rsf in space that i wont be able to attack either imp nor rebel.

Anyone have some experiences they can share with me please.

Thanks

Ground faction is completely seperate from Space faction. You obviously can't be a Rebel pilot and Imperial on the ground, but for the most part someone who is Neutral on the ground can go any of the 3 piloting professions in space (I believe the Inquisition and one of the rebel squads requires the same faction for both ground and pilot though), and if you are neutral pilot you can be any of the 3 ground factions. It will not effect your ability to blow up rebel ships, although if you are even a mild RP'er thats not a very good idea, side with the rebels and then destroy them at the same time. But either way, you'll be fine. You still won't be able to attack the imps unless you change piloting professions, but you will still be able to attack rebels in space.

thats good. because i dont know if its for being sa or a rebel on the ground that i can only enter deep space as rebel. also funny, i havent found a way to enter deep space overt. the freelance station wont let you in when overt and the rebel station complains about not having the 30k prestige (guess they have seperate prestige for the three factions). i guess you could just try and if it doesnt work as you want resign again.

I agree, As RSF, I only get the option to enter DS as Imperial. I would really be suprised if you got the option to enter DS as overt rebel as a master RSF pilot. The RSF are like the Imperial Nation Guards. To think that an RSF pilot was rebel in space would seem to demand that the RSF revoke their wings, and throw them in the brigg. As for the overt issue....same problem here and I bugged it. I went overt, and couldn't enter from our privateer station (said I was Imperial) and couldnt get to DS from the Imperial station (said I wasn't Imperial). Seems we privateers are out of luck when it comes to grinding FP like the Imperial and Rebel Aces.

I was a ground rebel and Master RSF Pilot and I entered deep space as an Overt Rebel, but in Kessel I was unable to attack Imperials - it really does mess with your head!

Rebel on the ground - Can only enter deep space as a rebel

Imp on the ground - Can only enter as imp

Neutal on the ground - Enter as both

I'm neutral.

ok i see many responses.

Yes i know rebs can only be rebs/imps can only be imps/and nuetrals can be whatever in deepspace. That part doesnt take a rocket scientists to figure out

Im trying to figure out how to be a nuetral pilot but rebel on the ground and be able to declare in space as a rebel and enter deepspace as a Overt rebel.I always enter as a rebel but not overt like my other pilot which is rebel.

I figured since i hunt there all day for parts it would be nice to get some faction while there,id fly my reb pilot but i just like my Krayt to much to do that.

Can anyone confirm a couple of questions about RSF Pilots?

1) Do the RSF missions allow you entry into the Emperor's Retreat?

2) Post bug-fix, can RSF pilots still assist Rebel Pilots in attacking Imperials if they are grouped and doing a mission, or was that part of the bug?

Theres no way to enter Deep Space as overt and most of us think that you should be overt in deep space and get faction points anyway. Maybe it will be the next big issue for us freelancers(now that we got a master level ship).

I think we can all agree on one very important issue here.

Going privateer is going to mess with your head. But hey!!!! You get a dragon to fly.....so, we all end up crazy, but with really good ships...

Since I'm already a bit crazy, it wasn't to much of a problem figuring out which one to go with.
