Firespray = f'ugly

And shouldn't it be a two player ship that you can move around in?

Firespray certainly has the most weaponry options and highest mass but if you want:
- Missile Boat go with the Oppressor.
- All rounder go with the the Firespray.
- As for the ETA-2 (JSF) well that depends on what you can load it out with.

Problem with the Firespray and ETA-2 is you don't want to get their chassis damaged whereas the Oppressor is easily replaced.

I just qualified as ace pilot yesterday and tried out my firespray. In my opinion biggest issue with it is it seems to oversteer horribly.

Is this just a matter of me getting used to flying it (Previously I flew imperial tie)

I got all 3 on different servers, One Loves flies the T/O & JSF & those are the best PvP ships. The rest of my toons are Freelancers so we like the KSE Firespray's &Vaksai's more than the IMP ships.

I use the Firespray for doing corvette runs, load it up with 2 spacebomb II launchers and watch corvettes go down in the blink of an eye.

JSF for general PVP and PVE, though at the moment EVERYONE is using a JSF for PVP these days, it's FOTM and gets a lot of stick because it's too small to hit and stupidly fast.

Well, looking at it finacially, a opressor goes for about 400k and any MSW can build it, the firespray is made of loot part wich are pretty hard to comeby, and vader wont give you a second jedi starfighter.....
Its why i still fly my opressor and the others are parked to look pretty

Well, seeing as how PvP in DS has no decay anyway - not much of an issue.

Which sucks for the ShipWrights. =/

That's questionable. I know I've spent a lot of money at my local shipwrights' vendors that I might not have if there was decayin DS and I was too scrared to spend so much time PvPing.

Not questionable at all.

The gist of the post is that decay on the JSF and KSE is kind of a moot point in regards to PvP, since 99% of the PvP will be in DS.

Whether or not it sucks for the shipwrights can be up for debate, but I tend to think it still does. Just that people would PvP in more SW purchased ships/components and leave the JSF's at home. Your A-wing/Oppressor/etc and its crafted components finally decay - ya buy more and go PvP.

Armor decay from taking damage never slowed down business for the armorsmiths.

My take on it:

KSE: Cool ship, horrible weapon spread, can only use it third person if you adjust your display in options. I take this up just for the tells from the newbs around Tatooine

Tie Oppressor: I would use this ship more if there were not so many A-Wings in space. I can load up some sweet weapons, shields, and missile launchers in this boat, and am SO close to making a nice Lvl 10 weapon and once I do I will have to try it out again in deepspace.

JSF: This is my FP machine. RE'edLvl 7 and 8 blasters, Mark IV Proton, Lvl 6 reward engine/shields, low mass 14 sec Lvl 4 boosters, minimal armor, pre-nerf DI, and a sweet low mass RE'ed Reactor that just barely hit's below 15k. Could care less about PvP - and what people think about the JSF in general -as at least in this thing I do not have to worry about A-Wings flying circles around me in deepspace. Things will get a bit tight when I get around to getting my QID as I already have the parts to get low mass, high YPR. I have two chances for a high speed QID so crossing my fingers on that one.

Fourth Choice:

Tie Advanced: Nice looking ship, good speed, can fit Lvl 6/7 blasters in this plus everything else that I can fit in the JSF.When I go up for arranged PvP this is the ship I fly. When I kill a master mission corvette I also fly this ship. If I could fit the Tier 7 and 8 weapons in this baby it would be my main ship with my JSF gathering dust. I believe that would require only about 5k more mass.

No, it is questionable. You even said its up for debate.

I'd agree that armorsmiths still do a lot of business due to decay. But at the same time I'm seriously cutting back on the hunting of Jedi due to running through my last suit so fast (even with successful missions, its hard to justify the cost). Also, since armor started decaying so fast, not many people (unless they have gobs of ADKs)are really wanting to go out and buy Uber armor anymore (not like there is really much chance to make it great, but lets say for instance the AS went through the trouble to get everything sliced before hand). So its both added business in one segment and taken away business in another.

I think the same thing would happen to space PvP if you couldn't avoid decay. People would tend to PvP less, though when they did itthey might use morecrafted ships/parts. Whether that's an even trade off I don't know, but it certainly is a trade off.

I do suspect SWs would be slightly better off, but I would have much rather not seen the new, non-craftablechassis introduced in the first place.

For PvP if you want to avoid the "FOTM" thing go with the advanced. I t has less mass then the JSF but turn just as fast and has the same weapon loadout. Big plus for the advanced... it is craftable. I would say for PvE go with whatever you prefer. For PvP use the Opressor if you like the missleboat, or JSF/Advanced for dogfighter.
