Thread: What Is The Best Way To Grind Tier 2
Those are some good tips, and here's another
This assumes that you are running your droid commands, you are a decent pilot, and that you are not afraid to blow up, if it comes to it.
I just did this Imp, so I *know* you can do it in a Y-wing, heh.
Go to the Lok system, hyperspace point Nym's Hovel. Within 3k of this hyperspace point, there are several spawns that are tier 3...start by disabling, then finishing them off. The first tier 2 box you need to get is Equipment, in my opinion...especially in at Y-wing, where mass is your friend most of the way up the tree. It sounds like this is your first time through, based on the exp numbers you are listing...these will give you about 1200-1600 per kill. I have one pilot mastery bonus, and I can do each box in 7 minutes, so probably an hour or so for you to get all 4 boxes worth of exp. Sound a bit better?
I don't have uber RE'd equipment, but I do have some *nice* pieces. Alternatively, you could go to Dantooine station, and take the Black Sun destroy duty mission that they give you...mostly tier 2's, with some tier 3's.
Enjoy, and welcome to piloting

I am a rebel pilot working with pilot 1 1 1 1. I am using a pretty good Y-Wing. The problem is the stuff I can kill gives like 100 to 400 xp per kill. It takes very long to do this also because I can't use powerful weapons yet. Also I am not good enough to kill high lvl stuff yet. I am caught between a rock and a a hard place here so just looking for some info.

I am grinding out freelance on my alt and have found kessel to be the best place to get all the xp I need. My alt is 2222 atm and as been grinding in kessel since 1111 With an inspiration buff I am getting between 7k-9k per kill. There are a few tricks to it and when you die you will die hard and fast. But if you watch what you're doing you can grab that 60k xp in aout 10-20min.
Here is how I do it...
Droid programs are your friends. Engine Overload 3 and Weapon Overload 3 are a must. I also use Reactor and Cap overload3. Once I get xxx3 I will be going to EO4 RO4 WO3 CO3. Although I recommend you get 2322 first so you can use better gear, then get 2323 so you can use bigger droid programs. That's just my opinion as I value droid programs and better gear at this level. Once you hit 3333 I'd go 4333, 4433, 4434, then 4444. But ultimately it's up to you and there is no right or wrong way to train.
For the most part the NPCs in kessel are always attacking each other and will ignore you. For the most part. However, as a rebel you'll want to try and find a group of reb NPCs that have Imps out numbered. Or look for lone imp fighters just to be safe.
Don't go after TIE Agressors. That rear gunner is evil
TIE Oppressors and TIE Advanced are your best bets as well as TIE Bombers and the Cosair ships. Just make sure the Corsairs are being engaged by reb NPCs and you should be fine. TIE Interceptors are fine but seem to take longer to kill.

Evil Raider Tyrants spawn in Endor space. Fast respawn on big dumb tier 3 kimos.
Primary question, do I have to declare or be overt or anything crazy to get into Kessel (or is that just Deep Space)? Also, how to get to Kessel as a Freelancer? Someone once mentioned that there was a space station you have to hail in Dathomir space, but I couldn't seem to find it.
I am presently 2/2/2/2 , and about to start the missions out of Jabba's Palace. I wanted to know what other ways I could get through 3/3/3/3 real fast with, and this might just be the way!

You don't have to do anything special, just select "kessel" after you /comm it.

As a freelancer or Imperial, I suggest Lok space, Rebel blaze HP.
As a Rebel (or maybe freelance too) Yavin , Smuggler's run (Tier 3 TIE's there have no shields)
have your droid commands running and keep your wits about you.
Dathomir is good if you can handle it.
Equip your droid with the 4 overloads and shield shunt then go to town on a destroy duty mission. Turn off your exp monitor and don't look at it. It's not about exp per kill, its about kills per minute. Getting someone else to do the work for you is not going to make you a good pilot only personal experience and practice can do that. Grouping also lowers the amount of EXP per kill and the amount of credits you make by reducing loot drops you recieve.

Gotta agree with most of this too, except I'd say get WO3 and EO2 droid commands for sure, cap to shield shunt if you can fit it on your F.C.
