Thread: Almost soloed a Vette.
Im thinking about trying it again in my JSF,
And by the way, whats a RGI? ^^
If your serious about piloting, do it in a Tie Advanced. The RGI's hitbox is skewed. Any hit that is not directly into the upper hemisphere of the ball wont do any damage , so flying one isnt really testing yourself. Neither is the JSF, its hitbox, while not skewed is incredibly small, the ship itself, generally being overpowered compared to the orginal JSF ship chassis.
You want to test yourself some, fly a T/A.

Thats cool. However, you have no excuse dying in an RG TIE with a hitbox that small in pve..not that you did just then, but in future etc
. I was in a pvp death match of hell earlier with an RG TIE. First time I saw him...I IR'D him. Second time....we kept spinning...and spinning...and spinning...I hit him a few times..he hit me once plus a few glancersbut thanks to front shield adjust I was operational and after a bit more spinning I hyped out to regroup my head.
So I come back for the long haul and see him again...charge in, we commence in space ballet for longer than should be legal [at least 30 minutes, verified by Halyn who was grped with me at the time] and as we exchanged shots, I took a few glancers, one nice one to my shield but managed to shunt and I got a few on him...not sure if it was bad clientside detection or the RG's hitbox but I didnt score damage until right at the end...one of my shots punched him to a stand still. To further demonstrate the tinyness of that rg hitbox, my first direct hits did nothing to finish him ..took about 10shots before he blew.
All I can say though is...that guy was awesome competition, made my eyes bleed [well..no on the eyebleedingpartbut felt like it] and then proceeded to vape me next time round .
Ironically, I find out he transferred with items from Gorath a little before I did from bria..could this guy be my Imperial clone? o.o. All know is he is coming to Sat's event too and I'm looking forward to it even more now.

Why does every Reb pilot (making the assumption due to your forum icon choice) assume every Imperial pilot HAS to use bstrike? If anything, you should be THANKING us for using bstrike, in Kessel it leaves behind a juicy spawn for you guys to pillage, with no Aggressors.
Newsflash, "Biggs" - not all of us need decoys, and 3/4 of us don't have triple-gun ships with the mass left over for missile racks to make it easier. WE actually have to learn how to hit things, rather than spray'n'pray.
