Thread: extra ship slots for Digital DL ONLY?!!! why?

I have been a pilot since Beta. I am a strong and very active supporter of JTL. I organize
events, I try to encourage PVP, I deffend JTL almost to a fanatics level. I have quit my
ground "job" and have made space my only source of credits and FP. JTL is ALL that keeps me
playing SWG. . And I am not alone. There are many many pilots who strongly support JTL. I
love it and now I feel that I am being punished
What about all of the loyal pilots who can't (slow connections) or simply don't want to do
the DDL? I personally like to have the box and the book and the other literature that comes
with getting a game from a store. This is stupid. 100% stupid. EVERYBODY should get the
extra slots. People have been begging for them since day 1 of JTL. The JTL community is a
small one, and chances are the people who will be using the DDL will probably not even
want/need the extra ship slots as most people only use JTL as a means of free
transportation.
I will not be geting the DDL. If I do need or want more ships I'll just keep the deeds and
parts in a backpack until I need them.
Yet another in a string of poorly thought out ideas for "rewards". At least you people are
consistant.
All I have to say to SOE and the "devs" is best said by the Emperor...

Remaining calm is good advice.
I think what they mean is that when you download the expansion you will get an extra 3 slots while those that haven't don't, at least not for 3 more weeks.
Then later when you install the retail version of the expansion or the 3 in 1 as it's called the extra 3 slots are made available to you.

It's all about sales, which it should be from a business standpoint. Good move on their part.
Besides, they can always offer the extra slots again at a later date, just like they bundled JtL with RotW.

I personally think 6slots is too much.
Even with the new ships comming with RoTW, its hard enough to have get three fighters with great equipment, to have 6 starfighters all worth flying is hard,if you dont wanna switch components between em.
4 slots and a free for the Sorusub would be more than enough.

I would have been really happy with just the one extra but if they want to give me more I won't complain. Think I'llset up2 krayts (1 for combat the other mining), 1 dunelizard/jedi starfighter, a y8 and seeming I don't really wany anything else keep my yt1300 and deed my yatch just to take up the spaces 
This is unfair for players that didn't/don't order the DD expansion though, although they could give everyone who gets it an extra slot or two and the three slots for the DD would still be an exclusive.

The only parts I usually end up switching between ships are Weapons and Engines, and sometimes shield. Everything else is common enough to duplicate, and I load in as "core" parts.
As for the extra slots, 6 is great. It lets me have the ships I want, and a slot to play with.

well after running around trying to get xp and not getting any. Sentry hermit spider use to give about 657 and queens use to give 700 not give a big woppping 1 xp per kil. so i will spending all my time in space for now on it seems like.
