Thread: Working on Ace 3... now I know why Nuetrals don't complain much....

Well, the ONE great thing that comes from the Free Lance profession is the Dunelizard. Most pilots seem to take it all the way to Ace. If changes were made, I'd like to see the Lizzy moved up a few boxes, because it really seems out of place at tier 1. Maybe up to tier 3 or so where the XWing is.
Y'know, I was thinking about that last night (as I was plowing my way throught the first 2 tiers...) I wouldn't change anything about Freelance right now. I kinda like that there's an advantage like that. Honestly, everyone tends to go Reb or Imp. Nice to see that the nuetrals get that kind of incentive to go out, buy a low level ship that will not have to be replaced for a longtime.
Think of it like this, I spent a few million to get myself through Imperial pilot all in all. But for Nuetral so far... I think I've spent less than 30k to get through tier 2. Also, that means that Nuetrals can be viable in every situation (except DS) at a very low tier, actually about halfway through.
Some people are not power gamers (believe it or not!) and don't have the time or desire to master pilot, or maybe they're just taking their time. At least this way they can still enjoy space (85k mass, engine overload 3, weapon overload 3, and capacitor overload 3 = bad-ass for tier 2) but they still have incentive to master (YT-1300 for Ace's only)
Honestly, I may just do all three nuetral pilot prof's because they're pretty fun ships. Imagine a Scyk (which has more mass than a TIE Intercepter) kicking butt all over deep space with a 92,2 top speed fully re'ed engine. Just 2 days ago I was kicking butt in my Intercepter in DS, now imagine giving someone like me an additional 20k mass.. lol!
Watch out Imp's/Reb's! Something WICKED this way comes!
editted for piss poor spelling....

The mass advantage definitely goes to neutrals. My second character is definitely going to be a neutral pilot. Not to mention the Krayt is one of the best ships in the game. Many put down their firespray for the krayt.
Wow, not sure I can put my FireSpray down but I haven't made it to my Krayt yet either, sounds promising for sure! I figure I'll be keeping the FireSpray, YT-1300, and Krayt in my datapad though. At least until I've finished all three nuetrals and head to my final Imp prof of Strom Squadron.
2 down.. 4 to go!
With the Dunelizard, your ship gets more personality as you tweak it a little here and there, adding the good looted components you find. The hard part I've found is that once I aced, something seemed to be missing from all the master ships, because nothing at Free Lance master offers the same feel as the Lizzy. Honestly? I'm sorta thinking of redeeding my YT and trying to deck out a Kihraxz or Scyk as an a-wing type free lance solution.

So, lemme get this straight... Lets say I'm an Imperial Colonel Combatant on the ground. I decide to go Smugglers Alliance. Now I decide to fly to Dathomir, head to the Nuetral station, and go to Kessel.
Can I go overt for Rebel faction before hitting Kessel, and can I then kill Imperial Pilots?
If so this would totally rule as on Ahazi Deep Space is buzzing with Overt Imp's but Rebels are hard to find.
for Kessel yes I think so. But you would need to hit the rebel stations in Dant space for that (both overt and to travel to kessel). AFAIK you will NOT be able to hit deep space as a ground Imp as a space rebel. The Privateer station checks to see what your ground faction is before it gives you options. Might hold true for Kessel too, have never tried to "cross-factions" as I have a pilot in each..

Hehehehe.. Kessel Killfest anyone? LMAO!!!!! Too kewl! (Hope I don't accidentally blast any of my guildies.. I'll see if this works tonight. Lord knows I'll need to hit Kessel to go grind that 4 mil for tier 4. (Thank god for multi-master exp bonus!)
