These naming restrictions are a little to tight.
Did Michael Powell take over at SWG too?
I have a buddy who named his TIE Bomber something rather stupid. Well, after a couple of insults and quick one liners he decided to change the name back to TIE Bomber.
Guess what?
That name is unacceptable.
The thing is a TIE Bomber. ITs called a TIE bomber, but you can't name it TIE Bomber.
Seriously, its a little out of hand when names like;
Raider
Maruader
Can't be used in the names.
Lighten up SWG FCC!

I found that if you want to change it back to the default name just put nothing in the name box and hit enter, that seems to do the trick

I know what you mean. I wanted to name my X-Wing The Spot, as in X marks the spot. Apparently, the word The is unacceptible as it had no problem with naming it spot.

It wouldn't let me name my yatch "The Sitting Duck", but TheSittingDuck was fine.

I wanted to name my X-Wing "Echantress" but it was rejected. I'm not a native english speaker so I don't know if there is some kind of meaning behind this word that is beyond me... from an online translater it just means "magic woman" freely translated. Dunno...

Can't imagine why that would have been rejected. Personally I haven't had an issue with it yet but I only named one ship (Unlikely Lizard) so as I try more names I may start to find issues.

Apparently there is also some problem with "The". I named my ship Defiant Wolf, when I tried The Defiant Wolf, it's rejected.

I attempted to name mine "Rebel Y-Wing Tier 2" and was told that name is unacceptable. I attempted to name it after a few other NPC Ships and they all were unacceptable.
It's not like it would trick anyone since the player name ends up in front of whatever you name your ship in the Target Display.

I wanted to name my YT-1300
Jundland Wastes Phoenix
That name is unacceptable.
Though, Jundland Phoenix was accepted. Maybe three word names aren't acceptable?

20 character name limit is what kept you down bro.
As far as the rest, no clue. Enchantress, anything with "The"....wierd. Anyone wanna test and see if it rejects anything with TIE, Rebel, Imperial, Princess, Millenium, Falcon, X-wing, etc franchise words are useable?

On my Master Merchant character, I tried to name my X-Wing "Merchant Marine" and it was rejected. I tried something else, which I now forget, which was also rejected. If finally accepted "Free Trader"
