Thread: Ace Medals for Female Pilots

I've searched the forums and found some vague references, but I want to know for sure. I made Alliance Ace recently and did NOT receive a medal. My character is female. I found patch notes (Pub. 23, I think) that claim that the bug was fixed. Was it ever fixed? Is it now broken? Does anyone know of a way to get the CSRs to say something other than "too bad, but we don't actually help people"? Thanks for any help.

They claimed it was fixed, I think all they did though was reimburse female pilots at the time - I know I got nine medals. I do remember seeing another post recently asking the same question though.

Didn't work for me and my mate too. No medal, both female chars.

Me too. It's not like it would help me be a more effective character, but I want the shiny symbol of my acheivement!

I had the same issue recently as well. Mastered SA with my female toon, go the jacket and the helmet...no medal.
/bug reported it in game, and no response yet...I'm not holding my breath, but I thought this issue was fixed already.

I'll create a ticket and a bug, just sitting there being quiet won't help.

I agree. However, when I sent in a ticket, the CSR said something like "We're sorry that this is a buggy game. However, CSRs cannot help players when they get screwed. Our job is to give you nice little form replies like this one. Please file a bug report. Thank you for playing SWG!" And my ticket was closed. As I think we all know, bug reports basically go into the abyss and are never heard from again. It can't hurt to send one in, though, so I did.
If anyone else has any other experiences, post here! Maybe there is a useful CSR out there somewhere that would be willing to grant us poor girls our medals.

It was fixed for a week or so with Publish 23, then a hotfix or something broke it again. (They either do not use a revision control system or there is a saboteur that keeps reverting their fixes. I'm sure of it.)
When I submitted a ticket, I got a "we are aware of the problem and will not be reimbursing items until it is corrected" type response.

That's at least more helpful than anything I've managed to shake loose from the CSRs. Maybe there is actually hope that this is in the process of being fixed.

I doubt they really fixed it. When publish 23 hit the servers, I was starting to grind another squadron with my female toon. Less than a week later I was master of the storm squadron : no medal
Actually donethe 3 imp squad since pub 23 : never got a medal, and it's doubtfull I'll got one tonight or tomorrow when I'll finish the vortex rebel squad.

to my knowledge the "fix" only gave medals to the female pilots who had already mastered the profession. the medal was placed in their inventory, but it never fixed the problem for female pilots who mastered the profession after the supposed "fix"
