Thread: anyone seen a reactor with over 23k gen rate?

well last night i looted a reactor with 23349.6 generation rate, with only 30k mass.
just wondering if anyone has seen anything like this, or higher?

Lemme guess.
Was it a level 8 reactor? Name ending with something like RZ-2 or was it RC-Z or something like that.
Its kind of a rare thing to loot but it happends. I got one I REd out to 48K output. I named it, Chermobyle ThermoNuclear Reactor
Still sitting in my parts house. Think ill put it in a Y-8 whenever i bother to finish that quest.

yup, I was lucky enough to see someone selling one that was over 30k reactor generation for 8k cr. needless to say I have it now to swap out on my B-wing, KSE, and Nova.

yeah you're exactly right. i looked at it twice to make sure it was what i was seeing.
are they a common item, or kinda rare. rare to loot yeah, but are they rare out there?

I dunno how rare they are but I dropped a LvL 10 cap tonight with reactor drain of 861 and mass of 4890 now to find some other nice caps to get it re'd

The high output L8 reactors are very specific. Ive only seen them on one type of reactor. Which makes me think its a bug in the loot table. Serioulsy that kind of output is way out of proportion with the rest of the game, and it only occurs on a very specific item. Mine was orginally 45K output until i RE'd it.
As for the Lvl 10 cap. check its RE level. L10 caps with an RE level of 5 occur every now and then. Got one of those in my parts house too.

Nope its RE level is 10

It is a rare loot item. Kinda like the old "exceptional" weapons were on the ground.
My best reactor loot is a lvl 3 that RE'd to 14268 generation. The mass is well under 3K. Withreactor overload 3 I can power my big ol' ship with it.

I was doing some RE'ing yesterday, and came upon these lvl 7 Reactors in my stock:
2 odd lvl 7 reactors
2 odd lvl 7 reactors

Yeah the L8 super reactors are nice, but the L7 are better. Mine ended up as a 43k power 15k mass, in other words, actually practical in a heavy fighter, if I wanted to.
