I am a pure crafter on one toon, Master Droid Engineer, Merchant, and Chef, I have no combat skill whatsoever.. So why is it I dont have an equal oppertunity to complete the smugglers alliance mission set as someone who has done the Jabba theme park? This is complete crap...I dont want to work for a security force. I did this one because it interests me. And yet without doing the theme park I cant complete it. Not to mention the fact that there is no where besides these forums ( which I had visited to read the pilot guide) that it mentions you need to have done 3/4 of the theme park. This is a serious problem especially for those who may be completely new to the game and only want to focus on space based SWG. This needs some serious attention by the devs and the trainer needs to be moved to the lobby with Reelo.. Now I would have to give up 8 boxes of goddamned hard earned xp to go up another pilot tree.

I don't know the details, but I think you can run the Tatooine space station missions while you're at tier 2 to get access to the stuff you need at Jabba's. Anyone confirm this? I've been able to land and take off from Jabba's since it was implimented--whether that's because I did the themepark or he just loves his smugglers that much, I dunno--so I can't say for sure how it works.

You have to have access to the throne room to get the tier 3 Smuggler's Alliance missions. There is no way around this that I know of.
Jabba doesn't trust people that can't run some 'errands' for him...

I remember in some old patch notes about a mission to gain entry to jabbas throne room for smuggler alliance pilots. You have to look for talon karde in space i believe...he gives the mission from what i understood of the patch notes. I had already completed the jabba themepark at that time so I didn't investigate the mission any further. So you may want to check out some of the old patch notes one- three patches back for info on the space mission to access jabbas throne room. There were similar missions created to gain access the emperor's retreat as well.

There is a mission at the tatooine space station that will give you access wihout doing the whole theme park. Quit your whining and read the patch notes.

I am not "whining" and I should not have to read patch notes, the trainer that sends you to Jabbas should give you this information. Also there is no reason Jabba should trust me after waxing his men through tier 2.

That's they the mission, when offered at the station, is from Lady Valarian. and she rewards you with a Blank ID for Jabba's. There are issues with it only being offered at one point in tier2 currently, and I have reported extensively on it.

How do you know WHAT Jabba thinks? You haven't talked to him yet.....doesn't help your arguement for not whining.
You can do most of the theme park missions without actually fighting yourself if your waypoints are all near wayfar. A few others might require you to "pay" somebody to assist you with them. You think you have it bad? Think about the people like me who actually had no choice BUT to do the theme park missions to continue.

I agree it's not ideal but you can do all the Theme Parks as a non-combat type simply using a self-healing combat probot and a crate of repair kits. Just make sure you are buffed and wearing armor as you are bound to get aggro'd a few times. It takes a lil longer than for combat types, but it's fully doable and you won't die once.

if that dosent work for ya, just get a buddy who has some combat , and you get the missions and he kills em. It does take awhile, but the themepark can be done that way, you get access to the throne room and another badge. I did this for our guild leader.

Related question - I started on the Alliance pilot tree out of Moenia (Vortex Squadron) with a character that is neutral on the ground.
I'm about to start on Teir 2, and have to go to the base on Dantooine for it, but I can't get in since I'm not a rebel on the ground.
When I go to land on Dantooine now, there's an option to receive special landing permissions if I do a job for the guy at the space station. Will this get me into the rebel base? And if so, will the trainer talk to me if I'm not factioned? I'd like to avoid joining up with this character if possible, but will if necessary. I figure I can get his pilot skills to where I want them and then resign his commission since I won't need access to trainers anymore at that point.

The amount of combat skill necessary to complete Jabba's themepark is very minor. I did it with only parts of Novice Marksman under my belt, solo, unbuffed and unarmored. My complaint was having to stop and do Jabba's themepark, when I really don't like Jabba, just because I wanted to be a true neutral. Not that it required a tiny bit of combat.

For a modest fee I'll run you through the necessary jabba missions, you just have to take the missions and watch me go. If you are a successful crafter then contracting a fighter should be no problem for you. Everything has a solution, give me a PM or email in game
