Hey guys,
Is anyone else having this issue? Maybe its suppose to do this, but I find it terribly ANNOYING. If I am cruising at top speed in space the ship will occasionally drop down to ZERO and then quickly jump back up to full speed. This is very annoying when im in battle because I will have my recticle on my target, the engine will drop to 0 and then I will lose my target in huge way.. and have to realign again.
This happens all the time, and on all the ships I own. Anyone else have this problem? Or is it a "Feature" ???
Thanks doods!

I believe it is caused by server boundaries, and it happens to me as well.

Can you explain this a bit please? Thanks

This has been a problem that has been going on since beta. The devs have never stated what is causing it, either server boundries, lag, or client/server synch up. It cangetreally badsometimes. I don't mind it so much when I'm just cruising around but it really sucks when you have an enemy in your sights and it happens because it always throws you off target.
Since it has been a part of JTL for so long already I doubt that it will ever go away. This is one of those annoying things that are almost impossible to identify and successfully debug.

I'm almost 100% sure it's the autopilot. Try turning yours off in the options (in there somewhere) and see if it fixes it. I think after you cruise for a bit, the autopilot picks a target somewhere on your line of sight and initiates. It drops thrust to zero and then starts up. Ever notice that when you reach the station the "autopilot disengaged" screen comes up if you're gonna hit it. Haven't tried my fix out yet, but I'm reasonably certain this is causing your "problem".

It's not the autopilot - I never use it and have had this bug frequently dating back weeks before beta ended. Night before last I had it occur 4 times on a 6k journey. VERY annoying - /bug it when it happens, hopefully they'll fix it.

Are any of you running other applications in the backround? The only time I have ever had this happen to me is when I check my inventory in-flight.

This happens to me all the time and I have nothing running in the background nor am I on autopilot. It's the same rubberbanding we get on the ground. We just don't have the visual clues like we do on the ground. It sure is annoying when your in a battle though.

well.. it happens to me constantly, when a teammate gets infront of me.
i haven't enabled autopilot, but it's an "obsticle" and it "disables autopilot" aka throttle = 0.... but since i never enabled the auto-pilot, i have no clue about how to disable this.
CSR says it's a known bug... but nothing about if/when it's getting fixed....

I am not sure that is it since autopilot is not totally working on my system. I will tell it to autopilot and it will go the opposite way. I have always thought it to be a resync or a lagg discrepency.
