Recently I completed all tier 2 skills for the freelance pilot profession. I was told to go to Jabba's Palace to continue training but I can not enter through the 2nd doorway. I did not do all the missions offered previously(I just blasted everything I could find for xp) to get trained. I was told by another freelance pilot that I might have missed an important mission where I should have obtained a letter toenterJabba's chamber. I think itmight be theone offered by the Tantooine space station controller. The problem is he no longer offers it to me. What I'm I suppose to do now? Any ideas? Maybe I am wrong here and you could enlighten me?
Thanks,
Okum

Make sure you have no space mission in your datapad and check the tatooine space station again. Space stations will not offer missions if you already have one pending.

if you have already been told to go to Jabba's palace, then you cannot get the mission you need to get into the palace. Your only choice is to do the ground missions to get into the palace like the regular people. I had the same problem and just ended up saying screw it. Good luck. Oh and /bug it. If enough people complain, maybe they'll fix it.

Thanks for the helps everyone. I went back to read the thread and itdid confirm my worst fear. Iam forced todo the ground missions which I have no fighting skillsor dump pilot and start over. I should have known better than to buy JTL. If I wanted to see what monkeys could do I would have gone to the zoo.

It's not that bad, get a bud, get some buffs, knock it out in a couple hours. You don't have to finish just get into the thrown room.

It sounds intimidating to drop pilot and do it again, in this or another squadron, but it's not as bad as you might think. The skills you've gotten so far will make the missions easier, and the equipment already looted will be a big help too. Pimp yourself out a scyck with the best gear you have available, and then drop pilot. The game doesnt check the levels of your gear as long as you leave it in the ship. More than likely you can be back to where you were after a single evening's playtime.

Yeah thiats what I did. Dropped pilot and started over. In one day I am nearly back to where I was. Thanks for the tip that was useful to know. CRS finally responded but it was too late, besides they were clueless to my issue. I don't blame them I'm sure they have to answer alot of questions but it seems like this is a common problem after searching the forums here.

It's common enough. Just make sure you filed a /bug report, and posted about it in the Live Issues thread. If they realize this is biting enough people in the butt, eventually they'll do something.

It shouldn't be too hard to change the prereqs of the mission up a tier.

In theory no, but I do know exactly "why" this bug happens.
The mission (background) is that this is a mission from lady valarian. You only work for her during tier2, and your allegiance is forcibly changed to hutt, when you finish with Shamdon Kree and talk to Karrde. Thus, as soon as you find out you need to go to Jabba's Palace, it's too late, you're already on the payroll The placement of this allegiance change flag has caused people problems before, having to do with completing tier2 if you accidentally talked to karrde early or something. Basically the offering of the Valarian mission from the station is controlled by your allegiance to her. I think the best and easiest solution would be to rewrite Karrde's dialog, and move the allegiance change flag so that as soon as you talk to Beissa, you're on the payroll for Jabba. Have Karrde say something pretty obvious that if you've never gone to Jabba's before, you should "prepare" and in order to get free and clear of Lady Warthog, you should head up to the station and do her "one last favor"
I think you and I are saying exactly the same thing Washell, i'm just being more detailed.
This is a nasty little trap for Entertainers, Crafters, and pure Pilots. Forcing a non ground combat player tofind help forthe themepark or drop Pilot and re-do are both unacceptable options and defeat the entire purpose of the mission.

I agree and disagree psiko... I have been pure pilot/shipwright since JTL launch and I had to do it. It really is not that hard of a themepark. The whole concept of JTL encourages grouping, so that shouldn't be a big deal at this point. And doesn't it stand to reason that after working for Lady V, that Jabba would make you prove his loyalty to him by earning his trust before he would let you fly for him. My alt was a Master Musician, Novice Swordsman, and I managed to do it solo on one set of buffs. I didn't finish the themepark, just got access to the throne room. I think it is just part of flying for Smuggler's Alliance. I say quit whining or fly for the police of hte galaxy, Corsec or RSF. Only those worthy enough will fly for Mr. Karrde.
