Whats your experiences either with, or against this ship in pvp?

Granted its a bit large, but with 150K mass, seems like you could pack an aweful lot in there.

I've only ever gone up against ONE, ever. So i really dont have much of an idea. Trading a spare RGI for this ship and gonna go RSF soon, so im kinda curious.

Doh! I'm trying to trade my Vaksai for a RGI. Wrong server though...

I haven't flown against them yet. I did fly mine a little, just goofing around. The thing handles like a beast, since you can pack a huge engine in there. It seemed to slide nicely too, something the newer ships don't do as well and so don't fit my flight style as much. The big advantage over other single mount ships is that you can fit a big gun in there, so hosing NPCs while you wait for players to show up is a lot more fun.

Edit - forgot to get to the point. In PvP I found the speed was awesome, being able to close and move away from most opponents before they could line up a shot. I played a little with hit and run tactics. The profile of the ship is a huge downside though.

Are you a pilot and not using Droid Commands?

Duc, you should be able to get both the RGI and the Vaksai. They aren't mutually exclusive quests like the RGI and Heavy X-Wing.

In short, it's formidable. You can easily load decent to excellent versions of every system into one, including armor. I have survived and won successive 2on1 engagements in mine, and in another case, took out 5 other pilots in under 3 minutes (2on1 and then 3on1). Gee that sounds like bragging I guess, but it's not meant to be. I'm just trying to say that it's a sweet ride, especially if you have a nice L10 RE engine for it. Getting used to the changing your aim is unsettling but not difficult. The slide factor mentioned is also quite useful.

I don't think that's correct. As a freelance pilot you can run over to the faction station after getting the Vaksai and earn either of them - as long as you do it before dropping your squadron. To the best of my knowledge faction squadron members cannot get the Vaksai. Although it's easy to solve, if someone wants to test it and go try it.

It's essentially the same quest - I suspect the ability of freelance pilots to go to the faction stations is a bug.

yes, if you haven't done the CPG stuff at all yet, then save it until you're RSF, and get both deeds.

i cant get one... everyone i know wants theres, although none seem to want it for pvp... UGH!

im curious about the heavy scyk in pvp as well though... the pilot FAQ says its more manueverable than a JSF, so i figured a good lvl 8 gun in there would serve nicely... but i suppose that to get much results in that question ill havta start my own thread -_-

Glzmo was a great visionary. Perhaps SOE should have listened to him instead of rebuilding everything all the time.

People always say YPR is the roxxor for PvP ships but with speed engine MK V, the vaksai is usually out of their range by the time they turn around to try to get guns on you. Vaksai is ideal for the twitch jouster. Joust a target, twitch to avoid any incoming shots and give them a slap as you zoom buy. Since it's only one gun you don't need a big honking capacitor. I just mount a crafted LVL 9 ion cannon with .248 refire, to make up for only having one gun. The only problem you'll probably run into is having to fit in a decent sized reactor so you can make use of EO4.

about 7-8 or so. they always seemed alot easier to kill than smaller craft, and at the same time with one gun mount they arent much of a threat.really id be more afraid of a rhik than a vaksai.
