The reality is, as long as your able to push your smoldering heap in to DS, there is no decay in any form.

Heh, I've been burned there. After being beat to hell in a PvP fight in DS, I tried a vrepair to get my engine back in some token form. It restored my DI instead.
Oh that's right...they just have to charge prices so high that it feels like passing a 1 pound gall stone.

SW's were selling on high markups long before decay free DS came into existance.
SW is an insanely resource intensive profession, and the resources needed to craft components in the range that will even begin to compete with looted and RE'd components areincredibly expensive.
To say nothing of it being almost an entirely cottage industry because of no factory support.

Just makes you wonder how shipwrights stay in business with the decay free repair in DS...
Oh that's right...they just have to charge prices so high that it feels like passing a 1 pound gall stone.
Ya know...I always hear how high shipwright prices are, but I've never really seen one. Most of the time I think their stuff is too cheap, especially considering I can pull in several k from one farming session. When you realize they market to a rich profession, it's not so bad.
And if you're complaining you just started out and at T1 can't afford the best stuff...well..um..deal and level up?
Oh, that's the generic "you" for conversational purposes - not an attack on the person who said that.
