Thread: So my datapad is full of ships, but if they introduce new ships....More datapad slots?

I'll have to remove one of them to make room for new ships if they're worth getting. I have them all tweaked and tricked and it pains my heart to have to remove one of my lovely ships......

Can I propose a few more ship slots in our datapad with the expansion? Problem solved!

I doubt it. They already doubled our ship slots once. I don't think they'll be doing it with every expansion. You'll just have to be a bit more choosy about which ships you keep in your datapad.

I'm surprised they gave us as many as they have already. How many people really need more than three ships? We can only have two POBs for storage and one useful ship, or a Miner, fighter, and POB, so somesuch mix.

Do people really use all six fighters? (I know I shouldn't talk, I've gotfive in the pad right now, some are just holding pieces, though.)

I do...heh...I'm so bad. When I go out to fly with people I like to pick a ship like you would pick a new shirt to wear. I think all of my four fighters all fly about the same too. Then of course my PoB, and my Opressor for farming.

Traditionally, I only really use two ships at a time. A fighter, and my POB. Anything else is really just there because I see no point in getting rid of it after it has outlived its usefulness. There is nothing I could do in my Heavy TIE or TIE Bomber that I couldn't do just as well or better in my RGI. I see no reason to pull out my Dunelizard when my Rihxyrk has that extra gun slot and better shields. And I can't think of any reason not to use my Advanced X-wing, given the choice.

Yes it's easy to use all 6. I have a Nova for fun guild events. A Y-8 which I can't bring myself to take out of my datapad. A Y-wing for going against corvets and because I like to pvp in it sometimes. A heavy X-wing for credit and part grinding. An A-wing for PvP. And I have a Belbullab just as a little hot rod. I've been to DS in it one time for anything other than repairs.

1 - Xwing (for killing nubships)

2- Ywing (for killing nubships and showing off to new guys)

3 - Ywing LP (for killing nubships and really rubbing it in)

4 - Nubship (for when i want everything to be tooeasy)

5 - Sorrosuub (for when i couldnt be bothered going to my house to store stuff)

6 - Awing (for killing harder than normal nubships)

Actually i have four ships in more or regular use:

  1. Krayt. (Every day battle duty. Quite an allrounder.)

  2. Vaksai (For the "easy missions" or when i just feel like using agility instead of firepower.)

  3. ARC (When you have two people to hang on in space. A bit more of a challenge, but also fun.)

  4. YT-1300 (Lately even did the vette in that thing, but requires at least 3 men along to use properly... don't get them too often. )

The other slots are the Rihkxyrk and Ixiyen, the later should turn into an Y-8 when the quest is fixed... but they rarely see actual use.

  1. Heavy TIE

  2. JSF

  3. Firespray

  4. Decimator

  5. Royal Guard Intercepter

The RGI is the only one that doesn't get flown regularly. Slot 6 is for my ARC, but I can't unpack it yet. Thinking about reloading either my Advanced, Bomber, or Oppressor for slot 6...

(Brannoc) *Janar* Is there any chance that the new expansion will give us more datapad space for vehicles the way that RotW did for Starships?

(Rogue_5) You will be very excited when you hear our plans for that, so stay tuned it will be announced soon.

That almost scares me. I know it says for vehicles, but it just kinda worries me a bit. Last time they said we'd get excited I almost quit the game.

It's different stuff... would i pack the all-lv.10 stuff into my Krayt, i wouldn't manage to get all components in there. Would i try to fit my Krayts stuff into the ARC, i again would have the same problem.

Different ship models require different weight cathegories of equipment, so whatever i find of have RE'ed determines by it's mass, where it goes to.

Of course, your JSF and RGI have pretty similar mass so they rival for the same components. I wouldn't be able to perfectly outfit both of them yet, either. (The "yet" is an important point... comes time, comes good gear... )

Fly more. I'm on Tier 4 of my 7th squadron on this character, and I could probably outfit three or four ships without a problem. By the time I wrap up all nine, I'm hoping to have enough to get everything tuned nicely. My biggest problem will be comming up with enough level 8 guns and shields. I'll have nine reward shields to RE by that point, and six level 8 blasters. That's going to require a LOT of fodder.
