Heh once youve done it once its like riding a bike, i find bucking gunboats harder than vettes simply because they know how to turn their ship ![]()
Once you get good at it you can take out a vette in about 2 mins or less with only blasters.

I am working on my ace pilot missions, the quest giver now tells me to destroy a corellian corvette in kesell system. Can anyone give me any tip on how to destroy them? Last time i was in kesell system, i saw it has some escort.![]()
I'm planning to use my heavy TIE with mostly level 7 equipment instead of my JSF.
thanks

I like to draw the fighters first but you don't need to mess with them at all if you don't want to.
Once the fighters are dead I also go for gun #5
Once G5 is gone you have a clear shot for the shields. It's much quicker to use missiles on them but if you don't have missiles blasters will have to do. I like to sit low under her belly and off to the side so I can have a clear shot at the shields and not present myself as a target. If she rolls be ready to move.
Once the shields are out you can kill the engine and after that she is pretty much figt wrapped for you. I usually don't even bother with the gunboats or the other guns on the vette. But I fly like a maniac so I can get away with it. If you don't want to risk getting killed then do take out the gunboats but you don't have to.
I'll usually do a few runs on the reactor, but again, if you have missiles they will help.
Then the bridge is all yours.
There are a few different ways to do it but gun #5 is the key. Of course you don't have to take out G5 either but it helps. i've been able to kill her just by hitting her componants and not killing a single escort, gunboat, or gun. Again, I fly like a maniac and I would not recommend that tactic for the kids at home.
And of corurse BS3 is always very helpful but not needed.
And like the other pilots have already said, your first couple of vettes will be a little rough and scarry. But once you get a good system down you'll be able to hit then whenever you want and impress your friends, neighbors, and rookie pilots (especially rookie pilots)
Once you get bored with doing vettes in your fighter (and you will get bored eventually) try them in a POB ship. They usually go down much quicker but if they roll on you things can get very interesting very quickly ![]()
