Just wondering what u all think of them. Me i like using the belbullab for grinding cause i can kill stuff fast with it, but i would never use it in PvP. Same with JSF but the heavy varients...the only thing i like about those is i can have mt TIE fighter back and not have to worry that it has way to little room. what do u guys think?

Don't know about the quest ships, I don't have RoTW, but I love the Heavy Scyk. I'm an RSF ace and I used mine (accidentally - a long story) for the corvette master mission. Mine is spec'd to out-run and out manouver a tier-5 A-Wing. I've got mostly low-tier components on it to fit in around a 38k mass Borstel Disruptor, but it's fast and it hits HARD for a one-gun ship. I've never done space PvP, so I can't rate it there, but I like it. I used it as my primary ship until I made master and picked up a YT and a Krayt. I don't think there are many things that can dish out more damage than a well equipped Krayt, but comparing it to a heavy Scyk - It's like a comparing a Minivan to a Ferrari - and my YT-1300 would be a bus.... with battleship deck-guns.

Used the Hvy Scyk for parts of the last three t-4 boxes. My favorite ship was by FAR the Rhyxzrk with two crafted adv blasters with .25 refire, 1 tri-blaster, and a crafted engine with a top speed of 102

The JSF and Bel-22, I think of them as either crutches for people lacking in skill or the new "uber" toys that bring PvP down through their generic nature. They aren't the "composite" of space through being somehow unbeatable, I've learned to cope with and overcome their agility and power, but given that they're faction generic, they make PvP in space the same kind of blah landscape where everyone uses the same set up that made PvP on the ground so boring. Once again, the elite ships that could have made faction PvP in space something more than just a blue team/red team shooter are supplanted and replaced without regard to the genre.

Heavy Variants, if they had certed these somewhere higher in the skill tree than the originals, I wouldn't say so much, but I think of these too, as crutches for people lacking in skill.

Balancing mass/performance was supposedly one of the most challenging aspects of setting up a new ship. Now with the heavy variants and the ROTW ultralights, the distinction that exists in the JTL ships is eradicated in favor of an "all in one" package.

When they first came out I thought they were cool ships, but I've quickly gotten bored of them.

  • I Keep My JSF in my datapad, think its parked in Bestine or someplace.

  • I have a second JSF which i got with my Alt (Jedi account) I use that deed for decoration

  • I've looted More BB-22 ships than I care to count trying to get myself a Banes Heart. They all went on my vendor to be sold for 100k a pop.

  • bought Myself a Heavy syck but never used it.

  • I cant get a Vaksai cos the kash space station is bugged for me.

Now I use My KSE, cool ships

they are unballanced and a step in the wrong direction, but they are part of the game so adapt or fall.

i like that they made prenerf engines more or less obsolete, but i wold like to see the crafted ships get bumped up to the level of the rotw ones (or made a bit beter) and also have some kind of global manuverability nerf that makes all ships less responsive.

>>Whats YOUR standing on the Bebullab, JSF & Heavy Varients?

1. They are too responsive, have too much mass, and generally do not fit in the JTL ship balance scheme.

2. They eliminate the need/use of many other ships because they are so good. Too good.

3. They spoil newer pilots with there uber design. Consequently their perception of the game is altered for the worst, and they do not learn as much about mass management and ship parts.

4. They should not exist in their current form.

I use the JSF every once in a while for pve purposes just for a changeof pace. I really don't see the logic in how they implemented the rotw and heavy variant ships. More mass and more agile? They really make some of the classic ships obsolete which is a shame.

It doesn't seem all that complicated to balance the agility and speed caps according to mass and ship size but who knows when they will get around to it. All in all as a dedicated Imperial pilot I just feel dirty flying anything other than a TIE of some sort. I usually don't use the heavy variant that much because the single chin mount gun kinda sucks.

Except for mining in Kessel, the B22 / JSF make the best mining ships I've seen so far (mining laser + tractor).

That's what I use my Bel for. My JSF I use for PVE, with tiny shields (REd cert4 reward...) to see how well I cope.
My ARC was flown once, it's not so good without teamspeak...
My Vaksai is lovely, I take it on trips to DS most mornings, and get blown up most mornings, too.

2 of my 3 kills in DS were with my krayt.

Ireally hate the B-22 and the p00nfighter. I dont blame people who likes them, i hate them because they totally imbalance jtl. They dont even belong in this timeline.

The other ships i dont really got an issue with.

I love my Belbullab. It's a lot more frail than, say, my Krayt, in terms of shielding and armor, but in compensation it doesn't get hit as often. I like how they handle too, perhaps it's because I always had to deal with big, slow-response ships, but the way it goes, it's nearly as in the movies, with dead fast dogfighters.

I say this only based on the PvE aspect of the game, as there's not much space PvP on my server

NIce ships to fly the Bell-22, Heavy Startersand JSF but really shouldn't be in the game or reduced to about 50k Mass.

The only ships I see in DS are JSF and Bell-22 these days and it seems a bit silly to have these relics ruling the roost in the PVP zone.

Did starship design take a flop when the empire took over.

Sony have taken a rather inept marketing attempt to milk the last movie by including as much dross they could get from it.

Hate em. Kill em. Smash em up good!

Love kessel and faction farmers in the ROTW ships, I just add my Xwing (or Ywing for more smackdown), shake vigorously, and wait until the hate tells heat up!

Tastes delicious!
