Thread: Warning on publish 23 bugs

Two key pilot bugs that are confirmed in the final TC build you need to be aware of:

1) Dropping pilot with a new general inspiration buff will result in negative xp again. I know they only fixed this a month ago but it is broke again.

2) New pilots will be bugged on their 4th mission and will be unable to train in one box. Various other missions (I've heard reports of various pilots stuck in tier 4)are also bugged, the key factor being if you have to kill an escorting fighter then the kills will not register and you will fail the mission when you land/hyperspace out of sector.

CSR's may be able to help with the first, but to be safe I recommend not having a buff when you drop pilot! (also I recommend waiting till the hotfix to fix issue 2 is released as you can't get very far in a new pilot squadron anyway)

CSR's will not be able to advance you past a bugged mission, so I'm afraid anyone bugged by that will have to wait.

NB: Any comments I make on TC code can and often do change
before they reach live and may not reach live at all, please read my
comments with that in mind.

How about this one...

Client crash shortly after clicking the Play button...

swgclient_r must close, or something like that.

Anyone else having this problem, or is it just me?

sounds like imabout to experience the tier 4 bug. i got enough exp for my first box of tier 4 last night. trained the box. got the mission. went into space. flew through the 4 patrol wp's with no spawns. got a mission sucessful. waited 15 mins incase there was another part to it. flew back to the trainer. and then all he did was offer me more duties. no congrats or heres a reward. just duties. /frown

Are you an Inquisition pilot?

The problem is that you are probably going too fast on your patrol for the content to spawn. Try going slower, like 500. I'm sure it's been stated somewhere, but do you get shafted on the rewards if you just buzz through these missions, so to speak?

It would be a shame to not get the Boltdriver reward...

yep inquisition and yea someone else has said about the speed. unfortunatly does this now mean the rest of my missions will be borked like mentioned above or will they sort themselves out provided i go 500 or less through the rest?

I really hope the getting stuck in pilot is not true for all/does not make it live.

Upset is not the word to describe my reaction if I can't make SA ace in the next couple of days because of this...I am dying to get back into my Krayt after observing a few things flying a Y-wing...

When I got my master pilot again after getting my JSF. We found that you can grind up the xp for tier 4, then get the final mission and just drop it. You can then go see Admiral Burke and he gives you the 30 ties mission. This way you can bypass the end of box missions. I'm just wondering if this will bypass the bug.

Its amazing. We ask for pilot prof fixes and they instead break the profession further for us.
