Thread: TIE Gaurd Intercepter
It's pretty and get's good gas mileage....and the chicks love the color. It's a little cramped if you're throwing a party in it, and if someone vomits in it you'll never get the smell out....but all in all a fine piece of machinery. I got a DvD player in mine.
Yeah....

why does this hard quest end with a horrible ship. the TIE gaurd has 80k mass 1 weapon slot. i belive that having a second weapon slot is not that out of the question. grevious starship has 2 slots, the jedi starfighter has 2 slots, i dont know the rebel or nuetral side but ill ask this. what tier 4 ship does NOT have at least 2 weapon slots. just a sad imp looking for equality...
Meh, I don't know the quest for the RGI, but if it's anything similar to the Adv. X-Wing mission, It aint that hard if you do it right.
A-Wing is a Tier 4 ship.
It has 65k Mass. (66k if you find a GOOD SW, On Kettemoor anyway)
And 1 Weapon slot.
And it still rocks..
You just have to fill it with the right equipment..

The missions are the exact same.
And just because I can, I brought up the stats on both the A-wing and the RGI.
A-wing - [Spdx 1.0 Acc 40 Dec 60 Pitch 250 Yaw 250 Roll 125]
RGI - [Spdx 1.0 Acc 40 Dec 60 Pitch 300 Yaw 300 Roll 150]
Same speed multiplier, same acceleration, same deceleration, petter pitch, better yaw, better roll. Toss in an additional 15k in mass to pack toys into, and there really is no downside to the RGI. The a-wing has been a solid ship for a long while, and if they had given the RGI the exact same stats it would have been a wonderful PvP ship for the Imperial side. In effect, it actually outclasses the A-wing by just a bit. So there really isn't any room to complain about the lack of an extra gun slot.
Don't get me wrong, I love my guns as much as the next girl. Flying as an Imp recently has been kind of sad, because I was using my 3 gunned Advanced X-wing while I was a Rebel, and the 3 gunned Rihxyrk (which I swear I will learn to spell without opening the FAQ every single time one of these days) as a Freelancer. Sadly, the Imperials don't get a massive 3 gunned monster.
fixed

A-wing - [Spdx 1.0 Acc 40 Dec 60 Pitch 250 Yaw 250 Roll 125] mass 65k+
RGI - [Spdx 1.0 Acc 40 Dec 60 Pitch 300 Yaw 300 Roll 150] mass 80k
heavy tie [Spdx .98 acc 50 dec 50 pitch 500 yaw 500 roll 250] mass 95k+

Two guns, three missiles.
ahem, RGI mission gunboats are only T3 not T5 like the others.

Wow, what a disappointment. I didnt realize that. I did the heavy xwign quest and was given my RGI deed by someone leaving the game. Im bugged and can't do it. Sounds like im not missing much.

Really? Wow. Imps get off easy. How dull.
Well, to be honest, an RGI isnt exactly a heavy xwing either.
That thing is like.. oh hell, ill say it, i think its the best PvE ship EVER!
Far better manuverablity than a krayt, and plenty of mass to strap in the big guns/shield/engine.
And besides, the quest isn't hard.
