Find a group to do missions with together, then you can all help each other out.
Also, are you using flight computers yet? Read up on the guides here - using programs effectively will make most missions soloable.
Nice suggestion, though easier said than done. Hardly anyone I know plays JTL. A freind of mine who does not play JTL but has a frind who is an ace, asked his freind if he could help me out. His friend (the imp ace) said yes and said he would be available in an hour. This was last night, He logged off last night so this morning I send him a tell asking if he can still help. He says yes he will be ready in a n hour. Sounds familiar, huh. I still have not heard from him. Obviously he does not want to help. SO so far Ive found two good pilots and a bunch of flakes. And Ive been hanging around the various starship teminals for half the day sending tells to anyone near the terminal, asking if they can help me on a mission. Im at the emp retreat right now and there is no one willing to help.

Ok, i am stcuk on a mission. That is the problem. I have spent the better half of two days of gametime trying to find help. I did find two great ppl who were nice enough to help me, but I died in the mission. IMO, this is the only drawback to jtl. They made the missions so hard, that you need others to help. We what if you cant find anyone else? theu you just quit logging in and playing because whats the point?

Are there any pilot chat channels on your server? If so that is the best place to get help. We have 3 on Shadowfire and they are very helpful. If you don't have a pilot channel why not start one? Then you would be abel to set up a nice network of pilots. I have also found that by helping out new pilots you will have an endless source of future help. Even if you are not an Ace yet, chances are you are still better than a first time Tier 1 pilot who can't tell his pitch from his yaw. put your missions on hold and help that guy out. Before you know it he'll be up to your level and now you've got yourself one more wingman who can help you with that near impossible mission.
I personally like the fact that you have to group to get JTL missions done. Some of the coolest people I've met in this game I met flying.
some may say its cheep to call in a bomb strike, but hey thats the advantage of being a mamber of a huge navy.
droid commands used:
CapOverload2
EngineOverload3
ReactorOverload3
Ship: Tie Advanced

Ill guess no one can help.
Geez, i never thought id say this, but JTL sucks. They make it too hard to even level by yourself. I found two people to help me but I died near the end of the mission. Its a long mission and I was not about to ask them to do it again. Now I cant find anyone else willing to help, which means I cant advance. THis sucks. ANd that helper list= almost useless
Ive asked three people who were on that list for help and they all said no. One guy even told me that he was about to log off and then sent me a mis tell saying he was about to go up and look for a black sun helmet. ill bet he was like "DOH!" lol.
life is beautiful

That was me who you are talking about and i believe i said i WAS looking for the blacksun helmet and i was talking to my guild from the ground because i WAS about to log off and i pressed a /r by accident.
Consider this a NO to any help for you in advance!
Ive helped alot of players do a lot of the missions for their pilot tiers, even people outside my faction, dont you dare tell me that my time belongs to you i put my name on that list for a reason because i dont mind helping people and i would stop what im doing in space to do this because i know how hard some of the missions are and how irritating it can be to try and complete them.
Prehaps you would have liked to tell me what you thought ingame rather than coming in here and attacking me.
