To the nice Imperial gentleman who burned "Engine Overload 3" onto chip for this filthy stinking neutral:

THANK YOU! Words cannot express how vastly this one DroidProgram improves the manueverability of my Kimogila! I can spin that thing on a Quarter now! Oh will I always cherish my precious Engine Overload 3!

I hope you returned the favor and burned him a Cap to Sheild shunt!

Actually he said he already had CtSS burned, but he didn't have Reactor Overload yet! So I burned him off a chip of that.

Oh and... I loooove Engine Overload!

Oh dear LORD is Weapon Overload 3 NASTY in a 3 gun ship! I can't express how much fun it is being able to slaughter ships 1 tier higher than me in three volleys of head on fire. It just makes me feel warm and tingly all over.

If you want your ship to be all it can be you need to run Reactor overload, weapons capacitor overload, engine overload, weapons overload. Do not use weapons overload 4 it will crap out your ship. Only use engine OL 4 if your reactor is pumping out 2 times the energy your ship needs or you will crap out your ship.

Allways run reactor OL first or you will crap out your ship with the other overloads.

Yeah currently my FlightComp is loaded with:
Reactor Overload
Engine Overload
Capacitor Overload
Weapons Overload

Capacitor to Shield Shunt

When initially 'setting up', I pretty much run the overloads in that order. But I just got the EngineOverload , I am still startled how much of a difference it makes in manueverability. I use my precious droid commands religiously now, no way can I see running without some heh.

remember to get full repairs before you land every time you run them.

Yeah right now, everytime I get repairs when landing , they total to 33 credits. Nice and easy!

One thing someone told me that I wanted to clarify tho? Currently I run no Overloads higher than rating 3. Someone told me (and I believe I read this on the forums too) that rating 4 and higher Overloads cause PERMENANT damage to parts? Totally unrepairable? Is this true?

What about Cap To Shield Shunt 4.. will that perma-damage parts?

The damage is only like 1 point every 30 minutes. The shunt has no component effect.

Realisicly the only 2 components you will be damageing is the reactor and capacitor.

it takes 10 points of dmg to cause a point of decay, and ol3 only deals 6 dmg. ol4s do 30+ dmg though and will cost you 3 armor hp on the part when you repair at a station. you can however use deep space for the repairs if you are master and no decay will happen

weapon overload 4 is not something you want to use do to the massive ammount of cap drain per shot

engine 4 makes your engine chew 10 times the power, so its hard to get working, but if you pvp is is neccesary to compete. if you use engine four then you will need reactor four also.

cap overcharge four is worth it for the extra shunting power if you are willing to use ds for the repairs.

So CtSS4 and up DOES cause component decay? Darn!
