Thread: Might transfer to a new server

So... assuming sony ever gets the "character transfer with some items" working. I think im gonna escape for stalag Bria and look for greener, pastures that aren't "heavly populated". Of course my first question is, what items can i bring with me. Of course i dont expect anyone to know the answer, just throught id toss it out there just in case someone does

But more importantly, where should i go?
Generally speaking i think i have two ways to look at this.

I could:
Go to a small server, probably end up being the "big man on campus", maybe even be the best shipwright on that server while im at it, and have plenty of reason to strut around like a peacock because i probably wont be challenged like i have been in the past. But i could try and cultivate a better space presense in such a place. Although i think eventually id get bored and be very lonely as flying alone all the time is dull, and I bore easily.

or i could:
Go to a server with a larger space presence, have the value of humily instilled in me on a daily basis , have a constant challenge and make the local doctors very rich by my frequent visits

Now im not discounting it, but other than Starsider, where else is there to go? R

ight now, all i know is:
A.) im sick of bria. (Better Reboot It Again)
b.) I hate starting over from scratch, hence im waiting for transfer with items to work. Although im not holding my breath on that.

meh im not gone yet. But if i can bring my most prized parts with me, i'll be gone with the wind

Bria's just too overpopulated. When it takes 2 or 3 mins just to pull up the item details from my own vendor.... somethings just not quite right here. Besdies, Bria didnt earn its nicname for nothing.

Oh, I understand. But I'm just the sort of person who hopes for the best where she is. I couldn't move to a new server. Too many people left behind.

I've enjoyed my server. Certainly not as populated as many others, but plenty of people to keep things interesting. Strong Rebel space presense and weaker Imperial one, though the Imperials do show some signs of pulling things together. I've met several SW's who seem to know their trade, so I've had little problem being mostly space-based without necessitating being a SW myself. All in all, very few complaints. Sorry to hear you server's issues are that bad.

I would not recommend Kettemoor to you. There are some really great people here. But, if you want to be "big man on campus" space ain't gonna do it for you, most everyone on kettemoor cares about 1 of 2 things, being a jedi, or killing jedi.

i've considered a move to starsider for a while now. maybe it'd be tough to crack into the SW business, but it sounds like there's plenty of fighting to be done.

If i were a SW on starsider, id be all about missles and chaff. lol. At least thats my guess on what they probably use the most of there.

sounds about right. it's tempting but the server seems kind of low on population otherwise. maybe i'm wrong, or maybe that's a good thing. anyone from starsider have an opinion?

you know, you could just start a character on a prospective server, master and see how things are. if everything looks good then delete the character and transfer. hmmmm

I dunno... some seem to care a lot about land racing.

There are several guilds dedicated to JTL pursuits. My guild just returned in force a couple weeks ago after a layoff and have graduated a crop of Masters. CFA (Crimson Fleet Alliance)is a ground up JTL guild and several smaller outfits dedicated to space are active. Heck, I now have a POB ship and crew I'll takeinto Kessel and tackle anything up except the corvette without fighter support and I'm not the only one at that.

Eclipse's space community is receiving a BIT of a revival, but most of it is coming from the ROTW buyers wanting another badge or someone to get them through the "inconvenient" space parts of some land quests.

I think the "honeymoon" period is starting to end, though - I sense that on the whole, people are tiring of the "Fun Size" expansion.
