Does anybody know if there will be a conversion for Pilot xp and Prestige points. And maybe Shipwright for crafting.

I have just made combat prowers and that was a grind for me, And looking through my available xp I have 7.5 mil xp for pilot and around 7 mil in Prestige points.

I am a far better at getting pilot/prestige xp than getting ground combat xp. And its about the same xp per kill. Rancor 5k xp = tier 4 Kimogila Pirate is 4.8k.

The only crafting I do is shipwright and thats way to expensive to drop for another crafting profession.

Is JTL going to be apart of the Jedi progression, hmmmm I hope so

I can also see the FS tree Vehicle Control a great tier for pilots.

Tell me if I'm wrong but almost every Movie and book has a Jedi behind the controls of a Starship at one time or another!

Shipwright maybe, But Pilot doubt it.

Its been said before that its two diferent games, I think it should stay that way. Most go up in space for a change of pace from the ground grind. Instead of converting pilot to FS exp, they should figure out what to do with prestige points instead of just spending it going todeepspace.

Yeah, I could see shipwright converting. But, definately not pilot since you can get that x4 XP bonus per kill. Jedi's would grind away in space unless the conversion rate was horrid, and even then they would still do it.

No Jedi bonus to flying, either....its all twitch, which means its based on your ship's stats and your own skill with a joystick

btw, you can still farm FS exp in space by going overt, racking up faction on duty missions, and converting that to combat XP which you can convert to FS exp. Tier 4 duties are good for this; also heard the duty from the Rori station is good for this too, but that might not be true.

I can get upwards of 10k faction running a single T4 rebel duty, which would convert to about 3300 FS exp, and it takes about an hour or two to run a duty. Not as quick as grenades but a lot more fun, and you get plenty of money and space loot too.

I don't agree with this. Why shouldn't pilots get credit for the space game? If dancers and musicans can get credit while afk macroing, why shouldn't pilots and shipwrights get credit for actuallyplaying the game? Granted shipwrights could macro grind but that's no different than any other crafting profession.

Though the play styles are different they are in fact the same game. Otherwise why not just sell JTL standalone? The dev's strove for seamless integration with the ground game, integration with the jedi system should be part of that.

You think Dancers and Musicians like having afk FS grinders around? oh so very uninformed. Some of them are actually pushing to being taken off the FS conversion tables for just that reason.

You'll never see Space Combat xp converted to FS xp. Why? Ace Bonus.

There might be a conversion for Pilot Prestige, but I for one hope it never happens. There is already a nice long thread about this and its stickied, so instead of rehashing it all here, everyone new to the discussion should just go take a look.

I want more people to fly, but I don't want every j3d3ye wannabe in space, in this forum, in the game begging for help, parts, free rides for xps on MP ships, any of it. It would infect space with one of the worst things about the ground game, and it would be a sad day if it happens.

Besides, with no known cap on Prestige, you would make a serious end run around one of the designs of the Village system, multiple trips there. Even with a horrid conversion rate, you could fly for weeks, only going to the village to get your unlocks, and train them up all at once. Don't tell me you think the peeps wouldn't take serious advantage of that? *chuckles*

Do I think they like it? No. However I do think that the quest to become a jedi should be fun (this is a game afterall). So I think adding a fun way to get jedi xp into the system can only help the game. If they want to stick an insane conversion rate on it, fine. At least there would be some credit. If they need to cap prestige points or add a new type of xp into the game that is 10 to 1 on prestige earned, then thats what they should do.

As I said in the other thread, this game is already Combat heavy and Combat centered, there's no real need to give yet another avenue to gain FS combat xps, expecially since it would do more harm than good. You're looking at this as a Pilot who would like the added depth, I'm looking at this the same way most of the FS grindheads would, which is "what profession can I make use of to give me what I want." They don't care about space, they won't care about pilot. Any help we give them will just go down an endless sinkhole that ends with yet another Glowstick Wonder running about, in a game based in a time and place where there were no active Jedi.

Most people look at it as a "well it's here so we live with it" attitude, but I don't. I keep space clean of pirates, and I try to keep the sapce game (in meta-terms) clean of the Jedi system. I was around pre-holocrons, and I have seen exactly how each Jedi system has harmed this game I love. In space I'm free of it, and I want to stay that way.

I don't knock the people who want it, or have it, and worked hard to get it, but I don't want it easier for them and every yahoo after them. It's already too **** easy.

Thanks for all your input

And with the the ace bonus it would only work when your not a master, And howmany Rancors,Craggy Bolmas, Bas Nitchs can you take outat once I can take one as many that can fit around me 6-7 which equels 25-35k xp in the same amount of time as taking out a tier 5Intercepter,If they did do the conversion it would not hurt many. All I hear from the other pilot threads is that there are not enough pilots in space and nobody will help. Having groups of grinders would help lower lvl pilots with grinding . And there would be plenty of bored fs/grinders for missions. Deep space would still be free of Jedi because of the death penalty.

I agree with the timeline confict with Jedi running around Theed dueling in the streets. But thats what the ground game has become and if sony took that away they would loose SWG. JTL should not bethought asseperate game, that only hurts pilots as its doing now.

I enjoy the space game over the ground game and only came back to SWG because of JTL. When you have mastered all the aces like me I need something to do in space till the expansion comes out then I'll more than likely stop grinding for FS.

I was just trying to find the away to use the xp/prestige points that I have

Plus they named a starfighter after the jedi so it only seems right to combine the two

I hate the ground game. I spend MOST of my time in space. I would like to become a Jedi. However the measly 3500 combat exp ive gained in the last 2 months ensures that I NEVER WILL BE!

I want some conversion rate for pilotnot prestege points. Just pilot exp. To keep the grinders from becomming and staying a master pilot. it would encourage them to drop it. sense you cannot get pilot exp while a master (after master you get pretege points).

And besides I want to keep the jedi stuff clean in space too (and out of it). But even if i became a Jedi on the ground it STILL wouldn't help me in space! So I say why NOT?!? Surely their would be some FS skill that would be in line for Pilot exp...

about 30:1 or even 60:1 would be fair to me! Maybe even make the exp conversaion rate scale to how many times you've mastered a pilot profession! (1st master 30:1 2nd master 60:1, 3rd master 90:1 4th 20:1) So that way youget a bonus that the extra masters gives you, in regular pilot exp or prestege exp, but it wouldn't help you to grind jedi faster... and after enough grinding (if you actually want to do the piloting professions 4 times. You get a slight bonus to FS exp).

Well they already have a skill box for vehicle control Why not have it affect ships too. So if you have opened thetier you would be able to fly any ship better than a regular pilot. I'd loved to take a Y-wing and fly circles around a Tie Intercepter LMAO.

Not sure if there should be a penalty for having multiple aces. If the conversion rate was only prestige xp then you wouldn'tneed to have a penalty. This would give moremaster content and extra incentive to go to space as an ace pilot. Since there isn't an xp death penalty for FS then it wouldn't hinder your progress. If ya got gank by another Pilot in deep space.

Just a thought i had by why not just add combat xp to space kills.. not a huge ammount.. between 100 -500 per ship say. Frankly I don't want to be a jedi i just want some force skills but the grind is so dull and I spend alot of my time in space. Combat xp for space COMBAT is pretty logical.
