Howdy all

Im a Master SW and have only made custom orders.. IE: specific chassis (Mass), weapons, ect... with exactly what they want...

I'm a Rebel pilot so I have only used those ships. I'm trying to help someone out who is a Freelance Pilot....He is currently at 2/2/2/2 and has asked me to help make him a new chassis. He said that his current ship sucks....I believe its a starter or one level up from it.

So, this is where i need help. What shipshould I make him?...Also, whatspecific qualitiesand stat levelsshould i focus on for his next ship? I have the resources to make very good stuff. With the exception of one Firespray, all the one's i have made are over 212K mass. I would just like to know what ship he should use and the average Mass that is exceptable so I know how to help him out.

Thanks all in advance...Happy Trails..

At 2222 the dunelizard, hands down. I used that one from 1xxx to ace on my RSF pilot (it's a fighter with options comparable to a TIE Advanced, two blaster slots, good maneuverability, enough mass for a fighter - more than TIE Advanced).

Freelancers do not need to change ships often, dunelizard at 1xxx as said, *maybe* at a later stage (4xxx) change to the Rihkxyrk for a heavy fighter / bomber type ship if wanted, but there's no real need for this.

I agree.
Get a Dunelizard as soon as possible, the 85k mass on it are good till you can use level 7 equipment (Tier 3).
Even then you can manage, or you upgrade to a Kimo for a short while (more mass, 3 guns, slower, less manouverable).
Either way, at tier 4 get the Ship box first (Level 8 equip is just looted so usually not that important during grind) and get a Rihkxyrk.
Use that till master, then dump the Rhix and get a Krayt.

Thats the only ships a freelancer really needs, even though a few prefer the Inyxien over the Dunelizard.

I went from DuneLizard->Kimogila->Krayt. Don't need the rhik if you practice good mass management. With that extra mass comes the rhik's downsides.

I disagree on the Krayt :-).

While it theoretically has three forward blasters just as the Rhix the wingtip blasters might as well be not there unless the pilot is a very bad shot, they shoot so far 'off' that they usuall do NOT hit the target on well aimed shots, the rhix three blasters are much more accurate :-).

Yeah, but the Rhik doesn't fly nearly as well as the Kryat, nor does it have the additional mass.

I went Dune (style 1)>Kimo>Rhik>Kryat. I did the obligatory test flights of the Kirh and the Ixi and hated them both.

I bought a Kima last night and failed a mission because I couldn't quite get the hang of the wing tip guns. If you make one for your friend be sure to tell him or her to put their best guns in the third weapon slot which is positioned in the center of the ship.

The Kima is slow for me since I'm only 2111 at the moment. Looking at higher tiered engines, guns, etc it looks like I'll be better off sticking with the Dunelizard until I reach at least 2211.

You sure about this?? It's been months since I've had a kimo deeded, but my recollection is that gun 3 is the wingtip slot.

I tried all the privateer ships..the Khiraxz and Ixyen I thought were both crap compared to a Dunelizard...85k mass 2 guns, one ordinance...way more than enough to take to master. In Smuggler Alliance I picked up a Rhykzerk as soon as I could and mastered from there with it, then went RSF and did it all in a Dunelizard...even the vette mission. never missed the Rhyk. I actually prefer the Rhyk to the Krayt, and I find that the Kimogila was just not half the ship the Dunelizard is..in spite of three guns and more mass.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the advantage ofhaving aflight computer/overcharge programs loaded. I was stunned at the news that the dunelizard is the first ship a Freelance pilot gets to upgrade to. Looking at the stats and capabilities of that ship, seeing that pilots ride that stick to Ace doesn't surprise me at all. With the right combo of RE and Shipwright parts, the Freelance pilot has a ship that compares favorably with an A-Wing or Interceptor in performance from early on, and the ship only gets better as the pilot gains skill from experience.

Once I'm finished with the Imperial and Alliance groups, I'll be doing the Freelance and will get my last Ace as a member of the Smuggler's Alliance. You can bet I'll bedriving a Dunelizard when the corvette goes up for the 9th time.

No, I'm not positive since I've only equipped my Kima one time but thats what I remember. It's easy to tell where the weapons are going though when you add them.
