Thread: Poll: What's your favorite ship to fly

For a long time its the Heavy Scyk, but I'm starting to like the ARC-170. I'm anxious to get it fitted out and see how it performs. So far its amazingly similar to the Scyk... maybe even a little harder to hit, oddly.

For JTL ship my Imp character flys TIE Advanced. Real Imps don't believe in astromechs!

So my energy for JTL is at an all time high! After the awesome advice I got from the community, I'm now 4/3/4/3 in storm squadron!

As I am approaching the higher levels of pilot, I was just curious what everyone's favorite ship is to fly at the higher levels and why?

I'll start: I just switched from the Heavy TIE to the JSF primarily for the extra weapon slot couple with 90k mass. I have it equipped with 2 lvl 7s, a quick engine, monster shields, but my trade off is little armor and no missle launcher.

Depends on what I'm doing.

For dogfighting, I like the Grivious ship best.

If I'm taking out anything big and flying with friends, or mining, I prefer my Krayt.

If I'm just bored and running around space for fun, I'll take my YT-1300 or Y-8.

Who isn't using a RotW ship these days? I'm guilty of using a Vaksai myself (although thats more for the similarity to the Battlestar Galactica Viper Mk II), but I've been getting hooked on the Krayt. When I was a Rebel pilot on Bria, I was in love with the X-Wing; I'll probably fly one of those on Starsider if I ever manage to turn that character Rebel.

A-wing. It's got limitations. It's a challenge to get the right balance.

But for now I have to fly 'Space Composite' to compete

Since I got my Heavy X-wing, I fly nothing else anymore.
Before that it was my Y-Wing Longprobe.
Some might say, they both fly quite sluggish, but for PvE that does not matter at all and the mass really makes it up (and for PvP you just need 2 hits to get shot down, no matter what ship)
B-Wing would be nicer, but the configuration of the weapons does not make it easy to hit anything, especially when close to the target.

Snap out of it. An A-Wing is still a perfectly viable ship for anyone with a squeak of gray matter. If you need ANY advice on how to set up an A-Wing to bishslap a poonfighter, send me a tell ingame, Kettemoor.Janu. I will walk you through the EXACT process of putting together an oldschool ship that will throw these punks screaming back to Endor.

Not losing a perfectly good A-Wing pilot to those Jedi POS's if I can avoid it.

For myself, I prefer the A-Wing when I'm up against a JSF pilot who needs to be brought down a peg or twenty.

I also have an Advanced X-Wing set up to deal with high end PvP and PvE, though I'll admit to its flaws due to overmass.

My real dream ship is my Nova Courier. Full line up of Elite components, and a perfectly good ship for most PvE and some large formation PvP, plus its a great RP vehicle.

Guiltily, I must admit that my favorite ship is my Advanced X-wing. It blew every ship I had ever flown completely out of the water. I had been an Imperial pilot up to that point, so jumping from low-mass ships with few guns to the Advanced X was an absolute dream.

My favorite ship in the game is the RGI although I don't get to fly it out of guilt. So I usually go with a JSF or advanced (Vader is my hero). However, I am working on a set up for a regular Interceptor for PvP now that I am back to being an Imp. I pick my ships mainly on looks and how they work with my fighting style.

My all-time favourite is the M-22 gunship "Krayt." I played loads of WW2 flightsims when i was a kid, and the krayt reminds me so much of my favourite bomber, the HE-111. Big, bad and ready to punch your tiny fighter into a star. The krayt is also a viable PvP ship. It will never win a turning fight, but the high mass (210-220K) makes room for some heavy shit and at least a couple of RE'd level 10 components (a heavy booster for example, and a level 10 engine). You won't win every time you engage another player, but I'm slowly learning how to take advantage of hitbox angles and stuff like that. Also, heavy armour saves my ass from time to time . So... the krayt is my "baby."

Of JtL all time, the Dunelizard. I refined my abilities in that ship, and gained some redognition in both PvE and PvP in it.

I'm currently an Alliance Ace, with an A-Wing and standard X-Wing loaded.

I'm also currently on an anti-RotW ship kick, but the Bel-22 had been a staple in my Ship List since RotW arrived.

Hey, am I right that you're on Ahazi? Please give me a /tell sometime (IGN Odev), I'd like to talk to you about Krayt setups.
