Greetings Pilots!
just made Master Pilot one week after JTL launch and
REALLY used to enjoy the space envoirment till Deep Space.
after the destruction of countless Rebel Stations in DS
and the rarity of PvP in space (at least on my server) the
JTL expansion "snack" is only good for fast traveling now.
don't get me wrong, this is not a complain thread!
looking for suggestions and input how to continue in space
after everything is done...
feels like the ground game, PvP = endgame but if you can't
find other overts there is nothing to do at all.
on my server many people simply moved back to the ground game
and hoping for more space content but I feel for playing JTL still
since it's just great.
my question for the other Master Pilots out there:
how do you spend you'r time in space after Master?
all input welcome, please no flames or nonsense posts.

right now wondering what kind of weird and plain faulty html this forum produces (and why on earth its using html in the first place). well, what CAN you do as master? help others to become master is probably the only thing that comes to mind. funny, how you need to become master to fly mp ships. reminds me of wizardry 8, where getting the dark savants glove was pretty useless right before the game ends. so its probably down to waiting and hoping for decent space content.

God help from a master!!!!!
Yes please
/Sob / Sob i have been trying to do the master box for nearly 2 weeks and except for a couple of tier 3 pilots not a single master was found on Farstar who would or could help.
Its getting a little bit annoying now trying to get the master box done on my own as its wipe-out after 30 seconds against a tier 5 Gunship, aggressors and a number of ties !!
As a side note and slightly off topic i started a new pilot on another server as a freelancer and i have a question?
Where has all the loot gone?
When i started rebel pilot not long after JTL was released my inventory was chock full of looted parts!
Now hardly anything is being looted how are you supposed to upgrade your ship if there is no loot to RE or sell?
IMO i think the devs need to stop messing about with things it are fine and start taking on board some of the comments regarding the areas that are a problem! Tier 1 & 2 were fine quite a lot of fun, tier 3 and 4 just boring grind and frustration and now exasperation on tier 5.
If JTL is not to become just an expensive form of transportation there needs to be a serious re think on what JTL is about!
And for god sake put an option in there where if you have to grind to master as there is no help you can, otherwise its going to be annoying as hell to be stuck and unable to progress because all the existing masters have gone back to the ground game or don’t want to or cant help people to progress!

as far as i read on the forum they reduced loot because you could make a ridiculous amount of money in really short time. of course the downside is that you NEEDED that as a pilot, either to sell and buy better components or loot two dozen chunk components for every good one too keep. bottom line: swg is a complete mess, far beyond the point of anything resembling balance and i dont see any way to have sufficient loot to keep fresh pilots going but keeping others from making tons of money just from selling looted components.
btw. you will love the freelance master mission. 30 ships is a breeze if they are all neutral until you shoot them and even the corvette is friendly enough to let you get into position before shooting back ,-)
i dare say that smuggler alliance can easily be done solo all the way.

After I got to Ace in Storm Squadron i resigned and went RSF, da ta.......new content, lol.
Funny: it's taken me about 24 hrs to get 4,4,3,3 as a neutral pilot, as compared to the massive efforts it took to progress in Imperial.
(That's not even counting the master exp bonus, i took a new char on a diff server the RSFroute and it took about the same time)

I spend my time;
A) nursing along guildies and any random person asking for help
B) running wild in Kessel and Deep Space looting trying to get all 6 of my main ships (Imp
and Privateer) up to the point where I'll be happy with them
C) Testing different tactics for NPCs
d) Hoping some rebels would either go Overt or enter Deep Space.

How do you kill the REbel Station? All 23 guns blew me away from 1000m away when I tried...

we organised some team hunts by the time everyone used to
be excited.
that station used to drop a few hundred thousand credits and
some tier1-2 ship components all the time.
regarding to latest patch notes they changed the coin loot, not sure
about the item loot though.
anyways, looks like there is nothing much at all to do after master
except for:
- chilling
- helping non-masters with missions
- trying another faction
- randomly killing vessels for loot and sell at vendors
- hoping for challenging Team-Master Missions
I will keep it going and launch to space at times just to keep my ship
intact.
thanks for the answers so far ![]()

I just really love being in space and flying around in my Firespray. It's a good thing I can make a decent living doing so too. Depending on how long I'm on I can usually rake in between 500k - 1mil credits a day without breaking a sweat. Plus, unlike grinding on the ground, I never seem to get tired of blowing things up.
I will always help guildmates or anybody else that needs it if I am available. It's still fun going back and doing those missions and helping people.
Space is also good for getting faction points. I like going overt and hunting for others doing so, not just in Kessel or DS. Yeah PvP bites right now but I'm holding out for it to improve. I've already had some heart-pounding engagements like one where I was caught completely unawares(doesn't usually happen) and the first indication I had that there was an overt player around was the missle detection warning going off. Without even thinking I popped off a couple of countermeasures and immediately took evasive action while scanning for the ship, which by then was practically on top of me. We made it around about 1 1/2 turns before I was able to land a few hits and destroy them (you know who you are =]). I think that was the first time I have ever been caught unaware and fired on first and managed to come out victorious.

isn't there a deathstar mission or something for the rebels (not sure what the similar thing would be for the imps) which you can get a badge for?

lol, deathstar mission.
There's only 1 Deathstar (well, 2 I guess) and I believe the timeframe is one is already destroyed and one isn't even built yet.
Besides, it would just be something else for the uberleet pilots to solo anyway.
