Thread: Can we unite for some Pilot Fixes? Only way we will be able to get changes is if we stand together
I have a list of issues to start off with, that I would at least like to see "FEEDBACK" on, and be kept abreast of, that I think affect pilots.
Now, the purpose of this thread is not a "bug compile" list. If we give the devs a laundry list, then we will get pushed off until they go through Mustafar. The point is to keep this list compact, and deal with some bugs that still haven't been dealt with.
My opinion, we push for fixing the Royal TIE hitbox, the Y-8 fixes, fixing the patroll missions where an "event" does not occur between patrol points unless you are going under 500 per sec, and fixing the Kashyyyk Eyma (sp) quest, where you get bounced between the station and Eyma if you change ground factions.
So, in a nutshell, it's fix a quest (and make it repeatable once for each faction), fix a mission type, and fix 2 ships. Simple, and certainly manageable.
If you are with me on this, then help me compile data relating to these 4 issues.
Thanks!

A) that's not even the issue with the quest, so you should take some time to read the threads we have on it already.
B) no RotW quest is repeatable, and this one shouldn't be an exception. If they fix it so that once you gain access to the Tier5 content in Kashyyyk you keep access to the tier5 content in Kashyyk, regardless of dropping Pilot profession, then that is a good fix. Making an exception to all the other RotW quests just for pilots? not a good fix.
PS- calling them factions is misleading and confusing. They are 3 different Pilot professions, not factions.
With a platform this large i'm afraid its the way it works. The only hope we have is riding out the storm, hoping our problems get attention.
As currently I'm rather annoyed in general, I'll agree with the OP. Fix my POB windows please dear Devs...
But yes, Tomo does an awesome job.

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, the only people who have any control over what gets fixed and when are the developers. We can tell them what we want (and by we i mean the community and correspondants) but 9/10 times if the bug isn't game breaking (and there are very few in pilot, infact i can only think of one) then its on a low priority "it will be fixed when its fixed" basis.

Considering that we just got half a publish dedicated to some of our issues, its not like we're being ignored

Leaph, I can see out of mine. Are yours still tinted? Y8 and my friend's YT. Haven't launched my Nova yet.
Have I missed something?
Did some other people try taking over Tomo's job, or are you all just touchy?
Just because I want to bring some issues to the forefront, doesn't mean I am trying to take away the dude's job; it is just that from what I have seen, when a profession communityfocuses on pushing a few issues very hard, rather than trying to get everything fixed at once, the profession is more successful (albiet not 100%) in getting their issues addressed, and more quickly.
Also, there are a number of professions where while there are corrospondants, there are also active community members, and usually their efforts are appreciated (even if not agreed with), and certainly not taken as an attempt to do the corrospondant's job.
There are some lingering issues here, and yet, so far, all I get is the impression that some of you are like "we're not the corrospondant - let him worry about it".
Then again, with an attitude like that, maybe it is no small wonder why these issues haven't been fixed.
It IS possible to support a corrospondant and still be an active community leader, without usurping the corrospondant, you know. The communities that have had the most proactive changes have a set up like that.

Have you got ToOW? Because I'll tell you somthing darn interesting which currently is p*ssing the hell out of me and I don't know why. I just activated ToOW on my alt's account and logged in. Launched my alt's Nova and...The windows are fine.
Now baring in mind I now have the latest fixes etc for ToOW and files on my computer, I then go back to the account with Leaph on and launch his Nova (this account DOES'NT have ToOW activated). The windows...are bugged still.
Now I demand an explination because that just does not add up. I don't have a very paranoid mind but I'm feeling a little like this 'bug' is intentional or somthing. I know a number of others who have the sae situation with ToOW on one account and not on another and the ToOW account's POB ships are fine but the unenabled one is still fubared.

Hrm, yes I do have ToOW. My friend and I also each have a 2nd account w/o Trials. I'll check tonight after work and let ya know. Though I have the suspicion I'm going to end up sharing your irritation....![]()
That'd be appreciated. I just think this is apalling though. The bug isn't client side as I just proved that and it isn't a bug true to everyone. If the same turns out for you guys then my assumption will be that SOE have done this on purpose so that people will buy ToOW in order to 'fix' the bug. I find the fact that even with the related fixes/downloads for ToOW in my SWG file that it doesn't universally fix the problem whether the expansion is activated or not.
I find it annoying furtherly, since I've been subscribed to this game for over a year now, bought ROTW on pre-order and recieve this treatment* so thanks a lot SOE.
*if you can call it that...
What you missed was that the tone and wording of your original post came across very much as an end around. Not bothering to find out if those are reallythe community'stop issues (as opposed to your top issues), not bothering to ask the correspondent for his input. Just full speed ahead on what you thought was important without so much as a nod toward what Tomo is probably doing in the Correspondent Forums on our behalf.
It may not be what you meant, but it's what you sounded like.
PS- You mistake my criticism of the way you worded you post for apathy. I'm not apathetic, but I understand well enough how things get done around here. Activism leading to change is the exception, not the norm, and Higginsis pretty much nailed it right on the head.
