It blows. And since leghit3 does like 2 damage in pvp ( I dont know hwy this attack is so weak...) we have no choice but to use hit3 to do any damage. Takes KD opponents right up.

I mean really, If I was KNOCKED DOWN ON THE GROUND and someone was swinging a 7-FOOT VIBRATING AXE I would have a hard time getting back up.
PERIOD
What kind of 'move' could hit3 possibly be (equated to RL polearms specialits) that it 'PICKS UP' the oppenant off the ground and puts them back on their feet again.
NICE MOVE.....NOT
Makes...ZERO...sense.
There should not be moves that lift your opponents fromt he ground.
No pistol, Pike, or Sword being swung in an offensive manner would ever levitate a fallen oppenent back to their feet.

Before they added in the KD pop-up, the posture change on hit3 was very nice - posture down once to kneel, posture down again to prone and get the damage bonus. They added the pop-up to keep people from filling up the combat queue with KD moves so that you were guaranteed to knock down your opponent (like intimidate, resists mean nothing unless it's 100%, you can just fill up your combat queue until it lands and if it lands again, no problem), you have to be a little more careful.

Ok, THAT makes sense. =)
Sad, terrible, dissapointing sense.
Thanks antares, on the ball as usual I see.
I wonder if there wouldn't have been a better solution for the posture change element of hit3 (a la lunge or whatnot)
Heck I wouldn't mind if it was gone altogether, we have lunge for PC and other KD moves after all...
Oh well.... I was glad to see this thread, I always wondered about this one...

Yeah, one that change went in, it made hit3 a tricky one to use and decreased it's overall effectiveness by a little bit. You can dizzy+KD an NPC, but then you can't use your most damaging attack unlike everyone else.

If you have a couple of speed tapes, hit3 has a far superior dps, and it does stun, too.

Well, for the same reason posture change makes you pop up, "spamming KD2" won't work. It's not effective.

Well I am @ +93 speed, but I seem to get more consistant hits with hit2, since hit3 attempts to change posture and can mess up your attacks. I use a 2.9 224-824 VL and 3.3 174-695 LVA and 4.7 110-409 VL.

Sorry, when I said spamming KD2 i meant doing it once, and when i got up, doing it again.
He didnt really spam it the duel i spoke of, because whenever he used it I had no chance, so next duel i said no KD.
