Thread: Polearm evasion?

Is it an evasion skill for pikeman, or an evasion for others to protect them from pikes?


I found a few skilltapes with it on them...

If you use this attachment, you'll get a "Polearm Evasion" skill in your skill mods box. What it actually does is beyond me.

My guess; this is one of the early attempt to actually create a defense skill to pikeMan through the SEA(skill enhancing attach.)-system... guess it didn't work out well

heh i got a + 5 POLEARM counter attack skill attachment, is this along the same lines?

From what i understand of the Dodge/Counter-attack/Block mods, having a bonus(class) in one, disables the other. Since Polearms specify block, both the Dodge(evasion) and Counterattack SEAs are essentiall worthless, much like my 1 handed melee counter attack SEA

I submitted a ticket on this, and actually got a response. Polearm evasion gives the user a higher evasion against polearm weapons.



Maybe the gamedesigners accidentally gave every race an inherent +100 polearm evasion, thats why we cant hit anyone?

Uh oh

So all those polearm counterattack mods I bought... are useless to me as a pikeman?

A guildmate gave me a very nice polearm evasion +6 AA. But when I look at my skills there is no polearm evasion listed. I'm a master. What gives? Is this another broken attachment?

yeh, i hate how the devs wont take broken MODS out of the drop pool. . . . kinda gets me angry
