Only 2 mods work on all professions except tkm that is accuarcy and speed. Everything else is broken. I think in tkm counterattack mods work not sure though

Blue glowies are correspondents who have retired. Our illustrious Gunman will be a blue glowie if he ever retires, which hopefully won't be any time soon.

None of the skill mods that are "Profession Evasion/Block/Counterattack" work (Like your Polearm Evasion). Only the general Block, Counterattack, and Evasion skill mods work (So ones just called say Block +5), and those only work if you have a weapon equiped that supports that type. So if you have a Block skill tape, its only useful if you use Polearms or Rifles. Carbines and 2H Swords for Counterattack, and Pistols and 1H Swords for Evasion. Speed and Accuracy for professions work as well.
