Thread: The pikemen runneth over
However, lately and especially after talk of increased accuracy, I have been seeing many more pikemen. I've been outbid often on polearm attachments and looted pikes by people I've either never heard of or people I knew as something else. Just last night, I saw 11 pikemen I have never seen before. 11 new pikemen in one night! And I had three more players I knew tell me they were going to go pikeman, especially since accuracy was being improved.
In Coronet alone there were 5 pikemen moving through the starport when I landed.A few minutes later in Theed, 3 more in front of the starport, then during an effort to free Anchorhead from instability, there were 4 more pikemen involved in the fighting (although, half were firing blasters). And I saw a few more here and there.
Some of these guys I've trained myself and all, but there are more and more each day. Kauri must have well over 30-35 pikemen now, most non-holocroners it seems. I can't keep track of us all anymore, and it sounds like more will be joining.
We're no longer such a small community, I think. Maybe Kauri is an exception?

Hi everyone,
Its the same way one Valcyn server too.
I cant believe the numbers I'm seeing. I see at least 2 or 3 in most of the major starports everytime I pass through. Not to mention, all of the other people asking if we are any good cause they too want to try out Pikeman.
I believe thatalot of the new Pikeman we see started out chasingHolo's, but have since then, fallen in love with Pikeman. Also, since we are supposedly getting fixed with the upcoming combat pass, more people might be willing to try us out.

Gone are the days of being the first Master Pikeman someone has seen in 4 months of playing.
I've noticed slightly more on Corbantis also, mostly I think its because of two reasons:
1) Holocron induced psychosis leaving some people so burned out of grinding after x amount of professions that they end up staying Pikea while longer (and the rare few who stop with us because they actually enjoy it).
2) With the swirling rumored nerfssurrounding TK and afew other classes, people are starting to look for the "next big thing".
same thing hapend to riflemen a while back... there used to be 4-5 of us on tempest, now half the people who pvp are rifle/TK ![]()
now its happening to pike!? damnit! i came here to avoid the crowds... gues its time to take chef... doh! new food... DE? gah! droid invasion! if the devs fix pike... its quite posible that no profession could be left as the most horible / undesireable... then what will i do ![]()
