Thread: Pikeman in PvP

OK, I've been master Pikeman with master brawler for about a month now and here's my problem. I can't do **** to anyone in PvP. Aside from the dots on some of my lances I am useless. All I feel like I am doing is eating someone's armor up and prolonging my inevitable defeat. I've started up the fencer tree (1-2-4-4) so at least I am hard to hit but dang. Basically I want some thoughts on how I can be an effective pikeman in PvP because I hate being the cookiee cutter pvp (fencer or rifle or cm)
Even in a supporting role in PvP all I can do is use polearm lunge2 so as to keep the enemy melee peeps away from our ranged guys.
All I'm good for is when we attack a base I can waste the npc stormtroopers and the at-st quick.

Unfortunately, dots are the only effective weapon we have in PVP. I dont' know what to tell you, not much to say besides that...

You basically sum it up, we have no damage on our own, so either get out of pvp, the profession, keep sucking or grab a few mind fire/posion/disease. Pikemen is good for stun/dizzy and area kd however even without dots if you are speed capped or own a low speed lance.

i hear its not too good. but i cant resist the animation! how is pikeman/doc? in pvp

High damage pikes for people with no melee mit(Ranged/Jedi). And DoT pikes for melee.

Here ismy secret for pvp sucess rite here lol. Im master doc/pikeman and i can rarely be deafated even by jedi. I once beat 2 padawans BUT the key is MIND FIRE. Get urself a lance with atleast 200 mind fire strength and have a cure dizzy macro etc. Make a healself macro and botta bing botta boom u got urself a uberness like no other. Very good and very strong.

theres a couple pike docs here on Starsider, they got good mind fires and poisins, you'll have to invest quite a lot of bank depending on your server but you can become a very feared opponet if you get the DoTs and a uber damage LVA...

pikeman is great in pvp, tho im not a doc here.... i went with : master pikeman, master brawler, tka 4304, swordman 0040, fencer 4440... hehe so im a tank, WHEEE.... anyways, try knockin out some NS for looted pikes, NS lances are some of the best PvP poles i have yet to find.. may take awhile but hey, killin stuff is its own reward.

sounds good, i think im gonna wait til combat revamp dont wanna get it i f its gonna suck in combat revamp, or if something is better.
