notice how ppl are saying to rely on DoTs for melee. everyone can get Dots on melee weapons pikes aren't only Dot weapons. pikeman is a profession for looks, but not for skill, mind fire bout only thing they have, and i have some mind fire 1h weaps so that isn't just them either.

You don't rely on them just because you can get them. Pikeman must use DOT's on melee because melee mit f*cks up the high damage pikes.

ex-Pike/Doc here and i was able to kill Master Saber Master Healer Dark Jedi Knight solo by using a 270mind fire and as soon as i KD i literally spammed dizzy, he would cure his dizzy then i would apply it before he could stand up. Just remember the synthsteak

pikemen is a great prof if you get the uber looted weapons...
and about people saying we need dots... they'd use them too.... fact is in the way this game play ATM most the time dots deal the most damage... so you'll be smart by getting as many as you can IMHO....

exactly what you said, melee mit screws up pike damage, other professions don't worry about that in melee, i have NEVER ONCE lost to a pikeman in a duel with we don't use dots. to face the facts pikemen rely on dots for PvP.... I'm not sayings it is bad, just saying that its time for pikeman to get a revamp so pikes can be a good profession w/o dots. but like ya said pike doesn't do that much damage with melee mit

atm im tkm doc (0440for the 2200 buffs) and pikeman 4003 and currently buying dot weapons and killing nightsisters
so far ive got a 530dmg LVA with 156 mind poison and nightsister lance with a 90 mind fire /sigh im hoping for better

Just to get it straight. A master healer (jedi) CAN heal fire. Cost's around 600 force for them so canrather "quickly" drain the force pool if the threat is big enough for them meaning if the dot(s) are good enough.

with 63% potency i apply it to master healers 3 times and they dead. helps if u have ls psg

So? Just stating that a master healer can infact heal the fire. what the heck does me having a psg have to do with anything...

lol having a ls psg keeps most of ls dmage off you while u land the dot over n over. i have 2 pikes with over 170 strrength fire and poison and the jedi die always.
