Anyone notice that there appears to be more Pikemen now? On Starsider I see more people running around with VLs and LVAs then I remember seeingbefore. Is it just me or are we becoming more acceptable in the galaxy?

Ive seen more Master Pikeman on Tempest in the past two weeks then the entire time Ive played.

Like every other FotM pikes will come and go. This is my second time around with pikes. The first time out, I had trouble finding players to train me. Now there is a pike on every corner. Rest assured, it'll shift again, once the l33t d00dz have started a shift towards doctor based templates, and away from def stacking, the swordsman will come back to target mind, and the whole cycle will start over again.

Farstar has flooded with them its crazy, we have an insane economy as it is now i have no hope of buying a high damage LVA (I have really bad luck never loot anything good off NS) or speed tapes is gone out the window

Funny in Ahazi in AH I can barely ever find a pikeman to train me. Usually have to head to a player city to train in pikes and to a lesser extent swordsman. What I see like the plague though are freakin fencers. Everyone and their pet cu pa it seems is a fencer.

I think that part of it is veteran players looking for a change. Before I stopped regularly loggin' on, my hunting partner was so bored he was changing his template once a week, just to have something to do. Most Vet players know that Pikes can hold thier own and it's nice to be something different that the 100s of other Swordsman/Rifleman toons wandering around.
I went back to Pikes on one of my support accountsafter the DWB came out and realized how much fun I had with it. Now, on the rare occasions that I log on, I find myself playing my pikeman, not my Knight.
