I have been a pikeman for about 10 months now and I never hardly post anything here. Well anyway I want to hear some war stories from my fellow pikeman. I hardly ever PvP due to me never becoming speed-capped or owning a high damage LVA/Dot weapon, but here is a recent story of mine

A few days ago I shuttled into Coronet Spaceport to find someone wanting to duel. After a bit of thinking I told him that I would duel him. I am a master pikeman with master doctor as support with a 808 max damage LVA (powered up). I can usually cure anything thrown at me but right away this master commando - fencer 4-4-4-0 - some medic threw some fire on me and I did not have any fire blankets. He's throwing everything but the kitchen sink at me, but I brush everything off except the fire of course. We are beating away at each other for what seemed an eternity. I would constantly dizzy him, get him on his back and hack away at him. He would rise after a bit and heal himself, which was beginning to tick me off after awhile. Finally what seemed to be an hour later, I noticed his action pool was not healing, so I stop paying attention to my ham and just lay into him with everything I have. A few minutes later he tips right on over, incapacitated (no db, friendly duel). After the fight I got an crap load of tells, telling me how awesome of a fight that was. I felt so good knowing I did this without a 1200+ LVA or some unreal dot weapon (not that I would turn one of these down, lol

Well that’s my story (I told it the way I wanted to) I want to hear your stories of pikeman victories.

mine is sweet to the point and short

I am just cruisin around tat to go visit the squill caves and tyen boom all of a sudden my bike explodes i turn around confused and pissed as hell and there they are 3 imp noobs all still under the novice marksman and novice brawler and they are running at me like they are the greates things alive i am overt and i just walk up to them. one runs one pulls out an axe and another starts punching me so i just hit the lucky old sweep 2 and boom they are dead and the other guy is runnin as far away as possable so i decide to have some fun i pull out my trusty dewback mount him and then run the basterd down and this was as fun as hell fighting from ontop my lizard i get next to him and he dies simple as that and it was funny as hell. i suggest every one of you try fighting off guys from ontop of your mount every now and then and you imps gotta take better care of your noobs

we're they players? most people dont die in under one hit, even if they were un-buffed.....

Last time i PvP'ed, i was grinding swords and decided to grind through a player city rebel base, well, after cleaning it out and gaining about 400 FP, a rebel TKM starts to attack me and comes swimming across the Nearby river. I would have done intim 1 and 2 , but had my swordsman attacks out, So I immediately switch to my Action fire pike, and lay that on her with a few area 2's, then pull my action poison , and after 2-3 more area 2's, i throw a lunge 2 and put her on her back, i switch to my LVA and begin to leghit just to do some extra damage. . . .soon she gets up and begins to UH3 me some more, but in 80% kinetic comp. who cares, as this process begins to repeat itself, from behind me in the water, comes a long blue line, im thinking " w.t.f is this, next thing i know a wookiee jedi with a 2 hande lightsaber is right on top of me, i instantly clear my combatque and begin focusing my attention on him, by then, the TKM is back up and she has started using headhit, Stupid TK's, anyway, ithrow down 3 area 2's in order to apply dizzy/stun/and fire at the same time to the jedi, after that sweep 2, they are both flopping , i wasgetting jacked, thinking holy crap i have a chance taking a TKM and my first jedi kill, as i switch to my poison pike, i see a target reticle turn me to my right, its another rebel, by the time i realize this, my mind is half down, 4 more shots and i am on my back, and deathblown. . . . stupid rifleman, when will their madness stop>?

My first pike kill (and it wasn't too long ago!):

I went to my friend's house on tatooine. He's a tailor, and made me some cool clothes and a wooden staff. I went outside and many worrts fell before my spinning stick of death! Well, I'm only 2 in polearms now, as I had to log and haven't been on since, but it was more fun than when I did swords/fencer/tka in brawler

sometime ago now, my guild was at war with another. i shuttle into cnet, and what do i see 3 red dots in the starport. They saw me, i saw them, i was mpikeman, mch at the time. ne way i pulled out my best pet, my ns lance with a basic action posion dot and made my way to the starport. all 3 rushed me, one was a tkm/mswords/mfencer combo, v nasty. ne way i just spammed area2+sweep2 abit, and after i set my pet on the one who ran of, the other 2 died cuz they had posion on their action and it was their doc who ran

A friend of mine bought me a chef's hat just to see how stupid they look on Wookiees. Having had a few, I took this as an invitation to look like the biggest dork I possibly could for the rest of the evening. Mission accomplished. They look very stupid, especially when coupled with one of those pseudo-Scottish kilt things and a pullover.

So as not to bring a bad name to my profession, I turned off my master pikeman title and ran around dressed like that with a bowcaster in-hand (I have no marksman skills at all). I took a quick pike break to dispatch of a wild spawn of stormtroopers and continued my funny-only-when-drunk journey.

My traveling companion then went to the bathroom and ten seconds later an overt imp BH showed up on the radar, with me standing there looking like the world's most tempting target (hell, even I wanted to kill me). Eyeshot eyeshot eyeshot and my mind was not doing well. Figuring at the very least I would be underestimated I popped a muon, pulled out my LVA and charged directly at him. He, not being an idiot, ran the other way, but got stuck on a rock and I caught up. Quickly hit him with a dizzy and knocked him down, then proceeded to miss him about 6 times in a row (if I remember correctly, this predated the improvement in range mods). Then I paused to cure my blindness.

At this point he got up and ran off again. Right back where we started then, him running and me chasing. Hit him with a lunge1 and dizzied him again so he was on his back. Figured that the only way I was going to kill him was going to be action hits, so I put on the bleeds and just whomped away on his legs, pausing only to dizzy and kd/posture change when necessary. He never stood for more than a second after that.

Thirty seconds later or so there was a dead BH laying there, having fallen victim to an armorless Wookiee pikeman using a crafted weapon and wearing a chef's hat. Sent him a tell saying "good fight" and he responded "I forgot to put on my boots".

So there's the moral of the story: When attacking someone who looks like a total noob, wear boots.

Sweet story man! I'll post mine...

This happened just yesterday evening (friday). I was Krayt hunting on Tatooine with the Rebel guild I am in SGO on Intrepid. And I went to heal to go back out, anyone I went to Mos Tyrena a rebel city near the krayt graveyard and these guys put up 3 rebel bases on the outskirts of town (these bases are near the Jawa sand crawler and the tuskens that go there to kill the Jawa's as to my knowledge these are on every server so its near there..) anyway its a quiet city so Imps LOVE to FARM faction points by killing all the NPC's at all 3 bases... doesn't attract much attention... so Im buffed armoured from the Krayt hunt so I go in the basement of the largest rebel base and hide.. turn on my map and wait for blue arrows to attack anbd kill the rebel npcs... and i see a few pink rebs turn white and die... then being in the basement i declare go outside toward the other base and half way accross the field I meet this master swordsman! (I am a rebel master bralwer master pike) and we start hacking at one another... i warcried her intimidate 2 then do 2 area attacks lunge and kd her stack up some hit 2's so she stays down longer and we went at it for bout 6 mins was a sweet fight.. and I won and saved the rebels!

I later chased of 3 imperials.. but they were too coward to fight, one that i followed was a well known Imperial named Mapai lost his tef dangit!

anyway pikeman looks so cool in fights when there is a pikeman good enough to stand for a while its a rare treat to see these rare moves from a rare proffession and usually gets alot of good attention...

Pademae

sorry Im not too good at telling stories, but was fun tactic...if the enemy is overt be overt yourself for you'll be red on radar.. you blend in with the rebel npcs very well when there are alot, then just come out of the base and pick 'em off.... tthey cant resist easy farming, use that to your advantage!

I recently posted this on my galaxy boards.

In the player city I used to live in (Cabo San Lobos, Naboo), we had some bases up with the vuln times set to right around prime time so we'd see some good action nightly. One night, I'm chilling in my house right near the bases and get the call that we're being attacked. I realize I didn't have my stun armor on me so I pick it up (right there in the house), equip, and burst run toward the base (about 75m away).

Just as I arrive at the center of the action, I realize I was hit by that bug where items you pick up from your house poof right after you leave. I was fighting in my boxers. Who comes up but the mighty Antares, backed by a few of his coherts (also Pikeman). All I hear is the TWANK of the LVAs and I'm off to the cloner.
