Hey, I know scouts arent supposted to be a real damaging offensive character but, how do you do more damage? Ive maxxed out my skill with blasters, carbines, and even unarmed combat. Do I need a better weapon, or do I need to train a skill from somewhere?.....or amI forced to fight chubas for the rest of my carreer, hahahaha.

Many scouts pick up one of the combat skill trees, like Marksman or Brawler, and train in it as well, even if only in one weapon type.

Ok, that seems about right. How many actual professions can a character hold at any givin time though?

It's limited by your skill points. In theory, you could have all six starting professions if you wanted to, though that'd be spreading yourself a little thin. You've got 250 or so skill points, and novice starting professions cost 15 points each to pick up, and much less than that for each subsequent skill box.

You can Master about 3 and a half professions. It's definitely a give and take kind of deal, but just do some experimenting and I'm sure you'll find a comination you like.

Also ,when you use avibra knuckler, do they add to your unarmed damage or do you only do the damage from the knuckler?

Does anybody know what makes your damge that you deal witha weapon go up. For skill mods i got pistol speed and pistol accuracy, but i dont have any damage mod, just wondering, is it every time you get a new skill for that weapon like with pistol is it everytime you get a new skill in pistoleer or does it go up with pistol speed and accuracy.

Thanks

This might be a stupid question ,, but here it goes,,

If i make a DLT20a rifle that has damage say 90-150 and speed 6.0, then i make a E11 with the exact same numbers, is the actual damage to the target the same, lets say if the same person should use bouth weapons? or is E11 better for some reason?

No, the DLT20(a) has no armor piercing (AR0) and the E11 has medium (AR2).

If your weapon is 0 AP above your opponent's ARwill do the basedamage (assuming damage-types are not figured in and your opponent is not resistant or vulnerable to your damage type).
If your weapon is 1 AP above your opponent, it does 1.25x normal damage.
If your weapon is 2 AP above your opponent, it does 1.56x, which is 1.25 * 1.25.
If your weapon is 3 AP above your opponent, it does 1.95x, which is 1.25 ^ 3.

If your weapon is 1 AP below your opponent, it does 1/2 normal damage.
If your weapon is 2 AP below your opponent, it does 1/4 normal damage, which is 0.5 * 0.5.
If your weapon is 3 AP below your opponent, it does 1/8 normal damage, which is 0.5 ^ 3.

I recently hit Novice Fencer, and I'm sorry to say that so far I have been less than impressed with my damage. I've varied my weapons and my equipment is pretty top notch, but my damage continually hovers uncomfortably close to the 100-200 range. Granted, I am a pretty low level Fencer, but as we get no damage modifiers, short of our selection of special attacks our weapon's damage is pretty much it for us. For example, my vibroblade has nearly 180 max damage without any power-ups, yet my damage remains painfully low even on AR0 monsters with less than 10% kinetic resists. My 220 max gaffi hits a bit harder, but I almost kill myself trying to string together worth-while special attacks, and the lack of AP as well as the negative accuracy mods make it a nice, but less than perfect weapon to use in most cases.

I really enjoy playing a Fencer, but I don't think I'll be able to compete at higher levels if my damage stays roughly the same. Is this a class that requires buffs and spammed specials to rack up it's damage? I've yet to try hunting aggressively with the Stun Baton, does the stun damage make that much of a difference? Am I expecting too much out of the profession perhaps? Any input from some more experianced Fencers would be very appreciated.

Thanks in advace.

well the only thig i can say is that if you expect 1k hits every time you swing your not going ot get no where near it that gaffi stas are kinda low is it spd sliced ? right now im not master fencer but have hit foot work 4 and use a damaged sliced gaffi when you get the foot work tree up and get a real good daged sliced gaffi you see hits alot better then what your seeing now i hit wiht no specials for 300-500 per swing at a spd of 1 sec . as far as competeing at higher lvls depends on what you expect we dont dish out tons of damge but we do have incredible lasting power we have very good defenses especialy the higher your foot work gets . for weapons i never have used the vibro blade i stuck with curved swords the whole way until foot work 3 the swaped to gaffi stick you should probaly try and find a good curved blade better damage good spd and you can use your specials a bit more, a good curved sword mine was sliced to 220 damage with a 2.2 spd so was good for me . but rember were not about damage per hit were about quick strikes and high defense .

The thing about fencer isnt so much the damage, But the defence powers. When I travel alone, It takes me some time to take out monsters and what not. But I hardly get hit....

In groups Fencers are even better, standing way out infront taking on tons of badguys. and hardly getting hit, while your party blows them away from a distance.
