are you talking about never using specials?

without specials i only hit for a couple hundred per swing, but with berzerk i hit for 300-600.

i was doing 1k damage (or slightly over)per hit with "one-handed 1" long before i even got to novice fencer... granted i swung the attack once every7 seconds or something ridiculous like that, but it still worked really well as long as i could hit on the first try.

oh yeah, andthat waswith a gaderiffi baton that i bought from the city bazzar for 500 bucks

i love fencer.

I just got novice pikeman and I was wondering....why am I taking away so little damage? It takes me like 10-15 min to kill a bantha. I was hunting them last night and I eventually just started using all spin attacks so that I could get the lot of them in less time together than separate and I had buffs so I wasn't going to die.

I guess I should say that I played 6 months when the game first came out and jsut last week I started playing again so why would I be taking away so little damage with being a novice pikeman? I have a pole that does 48-100 kinetic and a lance that does, I think, 68-350 electiric (I think thats what it is called). I found that the kinetic pole hit the banthas more then the other one. What should I do>? I am sick of being weak.

At novice pikeman there's no reason not to use a vibro lance. Light armor piercing + electricity damage work reasonably well against the sort of things you can fight at that level, while the AP0 kinetic damage of the basic lance becomes less and less useful, and the LVA has awful accuracy.

You'll certainly miss more with a vibro lance than a basic lance or staff, but not so much more that it would make it worthless. A good speed-sliced vibro lance is your best friend at novice pikeman.

If by any chance you're using looted weapons, don't. Crafted weapons usually have accuracy about 20 points higher, which is an especially huge difference when you're at novice.

Get a good basic lance. dont use the metal pole or vibro lance yet. A basic Lance should have damage about 80-270 and 3.0 (?) buy a couple and get them slice and use the speed sliced ones. That should help. Pikeman are very powerful with the right weapons, and you will begin to relize this as you proceed up the trees. Also Long Vibro Axes work extremely well when you have more speed and accuracy. good luck

Accuracy and speed are horrible at Novice Pikeman. Just work through it and you will be doing much more damage in no time.

lol, on what?

My 4th Gen is 601-699, my CL level is 80, My Accuracy is 237

The damage I do in PvE is:

= (650 + ((80-Target CL) *3.2666 ) +15.3888)*Special Attack Mod* (1-(0.011 *Target Armor - 0.0000005 * Target Armor^2)*0.01)

As long as you are the same level as me, you will do the same damage as me bascially, I will have a couple of point increase in damage because of the higher accuracy you get with MLS. But basically, anyone of the same CL level and the same Saber stats will do the same damage before Accuracy Calculations

Anyway, On a level 80 mob I do a base damage of 665 before armor

TKAs don't have any damaging attacks. Our only pure damage attack is combo, which is inferior to most anything in swordsman/pikeman. Consider putting some points into swordsman if you want higher damage output, head hit and critical strike are the two I use the most at the moment.
